Nice video... I would like to add that your method of cleaning off your thumb before the prick was wrong. Jst a single wipe from down to up is all was needed, and not the repeated wipes. One smooth down-up wipe is all was needed. Thanks for the video

Can this test kit be used after 2 years since my last HIV test ? would this test kit be still able to detect hiv antibodies after 2 years since my last hiv test ? would it be accurate ? if It reads NEG or POZ after 2 years ? everything i read says use the test kit in window period of 3 months to 90 days but no mention how long afterwards ?
Every test kit has an expiry date, if the test kit is used after it has expired, it's validity can not be assured.

Please is there difference between the serum and the whole blood because we use the whole blood and it was negative but the serum it was positive

Please check the test kit to be sure it's still in good condition. Do a control.

Yes, you repeat it after one month, 3 months and 6 months.
Can it be done without buffer?
N if comes out positive without buffer is it valid?
It's best done with the buffer. If it turns positive, do a confirmation with Unigold or Stat pak. Depending on the testing algorithm in your country.

Quite effective, but in Nigeria our testing algorithm says if someone test positive using determine, the person has to do a confirmatory test with unigold test kits. Here is what the unigold test kit looks like in this video

@@blessingjumbornrm2455 hello Dr. I took a test using oraquick HIV test it showed me two lines at C - a clear line and at T- a faint line. Then after two weeks I did another test using alere determine HIV test I showed me only one clear line at C. So Dr I want to know, what does this mean?

That solution is buffer it help speed up the reaction.
But some people reported that if you put enough blood and maybe normal saline, it will still read.

Does it mean without the buffer,it wldnt read accurately???. Must it go with a buffer or normal saline? Cant it be done with just blood?
This answer is based on personal experience but not best practice.
It will read, especially if the quantity of blood is enough.
Normal saline has often been improvised for buffer.
Can u read it after 2 hours
It's advisable not to take the reading after 40minutes. It might change
