- A bit of cheating today, as I repurpose a vlog from earlier this year when I was editing my book, The Witch’s Key and preparing it for publication! I hope you enjoy it, even though this isn’t a brand new NaNo vlog.
I’ll likely do the same thing for tomorrow evening, unless this totally bums you guys out! Then I’ll be back either Monday or Tuesday with an overview vlog from my three nights at the hotel! After that I’ll be back to normal NaNo Diaries content. Thanks for understanding and happy writing!!!

Please forgive me for cheating a bit today, as I post a vlog from earlier this year that I'm repurposing here! I'm committed to daily uploads during NaNo, but I just didn't have time to create a full new vlog! Unless this totally bums you out, I'll be doing the same thing again tomorrow, and then I'll hopefully be back on Monday with an overview vlog from my hotel stay! I'm cheering you on! That "I did it" feeling makes you feel so amazing for the blood, sweat, tears, and spilled baby food that went into it. I had that the other day when I brainstormed a breakthrough I really needed. I hope to have that same "I did it" feeling when this month is over and I can look back and say, "I finally did it" (or even to publishing, who knows). I've been watching your videos and taking/reading notes and applying it to my ideas. Thank you for being a creative friend and example that we can all be writers and authors.
At the last semester of college, one of my professors said I edit very well when we were doing workshop classes (darn, ya couldn't tell me earlier lol?). I guess I gave very long feedback more than anyone else did? But after graduation, I started editing and doing freelance editing jobs more than writing. I love the process, I truly do, it fills a fire in me when I do it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves the editing process

You don’t need to apologize or ask for forgiveness, you are such a hard working mama and I ask everyday HOW??? How she does all that she does with a baby, a boy in school, a household, a deadline, a challenge... and she vlogs, she edits the videos for CZcams! It’s a lot of work and the last months I have been feeling overwhelmed with a lot of things to do and not enough time... your videos make me feel like I have to focus and I will accomplish all the work that I have to do and take care of my girls. Very interesting thanks! I hope the hotel nights are going well. I had to laugh as I spilt water on my own edits today and I thought about how you said your son spilt his water on your journal a few days ago. In this house I don't need the kids to make a mess!

that totally ok in fact i didnt see this vlog when it was published so thanks for reposting it here and by the way i loved how you did the intro to say that this was an older volg "We interupt your regularly sheduled nanowrimo daries"... lol too funny anyway its ok and its NOT cheating if u repurposed old materiel! Anyway nano day 14 is going slow only 250 words today and it's 645 in colordo right now (Where i live so its been a rough day) anyway good luck tonight!!!

Thank you so much for sharing everything you do here. I had gone through a very hard time in my life and had stopped writing completely for well over 14 years. I came to the point where I decided I really could not write at all, I had lied to myself. When I was writing, I remember the thrill and the way I would become mesmerized with the process, much like I always did when reading a good book. People could wave, talk, yell, and I wouldn't hear them. I decided to kick the fear and write for Nanowrimo this year. Every day, I felt that searing fear, but I have kept writing. I am feeling that joy again. You are such an inspiration and everything you share is so valuable. I also started reading your books and love them. I am listening to The Witch's Key and am up to Episode 9. I will be getting the book as well, once I have finished the Shadow Demon Series. I think the best part of all is how you show what it is like to be an Indy writer. Part of my fall from writing centered around the rejections and the thought that maybe everyone was right and my writing would never be anything more than a hobby. You have such a love for what you do and so much energy to both do what you love and raise two beautiful children. I raised 5 as a single mom and still earned my BA in English. Now they are grown and I can see that my dreams are not that far off that I can't make them happen.

I especially love the postcard with the Shadow Demons Saga - as I can't get the paperbacks here, I know finally have something physical. So, I have been having some technical problems with Amazon KDP for my self publishing where KDP is not accepting its own Kindle Create document. It's telling me in nice bright red print "Download failed" and such, so I might have to resort to using a different self publishing service that won't be so easy or cheap. Do you have any recommendations, Sarra? or anyone in this community?
Is kindle create giving you a mobi file? Amazon recently changed their requirements to needing an epub file, so it's possible they did not update their create software. If you look at your file and it has a .mobi extension, go to draft2digital and go through the process there to convert it to an epub for free! Let me know if that is the issue!
@@HeartBreathings Draft2Digital won't even take Kindle Create's file format. Apparently it's not a .mobi extension, so I don't know if that's the issue.

@@HeartBreathings also, epub is for ebook. I'm trying to publish it paperback. It says it's accepting word documents and kindle create won't even tell me what the file type is, so I can't convert it even if I tried
