I think my word for next year is going to be: Progress. No matter how much or in what shape or form, next year is going to be all about moving forward and making progress! Also the Neutral notebook is super pretty (I'm a big fan of pastels!) ♥️

Trying to get through some of the 'regular' notebooks I buy during school supply time. I would love the EC layers ones. I am repurposing old Happy Planners for my writing.

I love all of your behind the scenes and writing process vlogs. Layers colorful just touches my soul, right where I am at. Progress is progress, Sarra, and you are not alone in that! So, onward once more!
#1: Courage Over Fear notebook. Each day I choose life. It is hard because there’s so much that brings me down and I use courage each day to overcome that fear. Determined to get over depression. I use my planners to write a schedule, journal, write down the good things, stuff to be proud about. Thanks for the planner ideas. I do Nanowrimo and planning. Like that you show on your videos when you don’t hit goals too. My mantra is Forward, similar to Progress over Perfection. We all need to see we are human.

Oh my gosh! I have to read both of those books! They both look fantastic! I hope you are still doing well on edits. I know it has been a bumpy ride. I can't believe NaNo is more than half way over and Thanksgiving is in less than a week! Yikes! This is the fastest - slowest year E.V.E.R.! So, I am at 35,971 words as of the 18th. I am absolutely blown away. It is you Sarra! Finding your channels and your courses, but most of all your excitement and enthusiasm and your commitment to your fans and community. This is my first novel and my first NaNo, and it is your spirit and amazing zest life and for writing that has me hooked! I know I can do this, and I have not said that about anything in a very, very long time. Thank you seems not nearly enough! Hugs!

I'm moving next year into an inherited home that's going to need a lot of work and renovations. I love the idea of having a notebook dedicated to such happenings, and I never would have thought of it myself. Thank you!
I love Happy Planner and that Happy Notes is so pretty! I have a large size that I have been using for my nano project that I have been packing around with me so I can keep track of characters and use the “Plot Your Novel” and Preptober workbooks.
What a treat to wake up to! My word for 2021 is luxurious and the reason is because I am frugal to a fault at times. While I love to have beautiful things around me I always chose bland stuff, so I want to bring more beauty and luxury into my life no matter how that manifests.
I’m glad to know I’m not the only person who collects notebooks ☺️ The EC colorful layers one is beautiful!

I don't have a word for 2021, it's more of a plan. Plan, Organize, Create.
A notebook challenge! Oh be still my heart! I had assumed you weren’t making one this month. You know, since you’re doing everything else this month. But I should have known that Super Sarra would find a way to make it happen. Seriously, where do you find the energy to do half of the things you do?
On a serious note, I want to tell you how much you inspire me. You don’t know how many times I felt like giving up on my own writing dreams, but seeing you struggle and never quitting has been enough for me to keep pushing forward. And I’m happy to say that my book has now been published and is on Amazon! Please keep making these videos. They really mean a lot to so many of us.
P.S. Thank you for continuing your diverse reading challenge. It means a lot to see my culture represented by someone with a platform as big as yours.
I am a total Happy Panner/discbound addict. I recently set up three different notebooks for my writing.
Same! Sarra introduced me to them and I wasn't interested, but then my mom put together a few for herself, and gave me the option to make one for myself, and now I'm hooked! The ability to move the pages around is just THE BeST. Can't beat that!!
I’m also a fellow notebook hoarder, it is so hard to start without worrying about messing up the 1st page. I also love the EC coiled notebooks, the Neutral Layers looks sooo pretty, I have at least 2 ready to start on specific projects.
I'm still trying to complete one notebook this year 😬 Love the courage over fire journal!
I ran out of notebooks during UK lockdown 1 and couldn't get my hands on any more so I ended up hand stitching my own free-paper notebook out of left over fat quarters, ribbon, and elastic scraps, with a secret interior cereal-box for sturdiness (it's kind of inspired by travellers notebook covers but with 2 pieces of elastic that hold folded printer paper) -- we do what we must to write!
And wow! That happy planner is gorgeous (I mean they're all lovely but that happy planner particularly caught my attention) -- I had been experimenting with dot grid paper before I ran out of notebooks and I love it for it's combination of versatility and structure -- not so free for dyslexic size-changes as plain but not so rigid against drawing in "add this to earlier part" boxes as lined
The EC be hopeful notebook would be the perfect manifestation journal. It is a beautiful notebook that would encourage anyone to write in it, and has enough pages for anyone to freely write. Besides, with everything that's been going on in the world, a little hope is a good thing.
Also thank you for taking time out of NaNoWriMo to film and post this video. I look forward to it every month.

Oh goodness! Courage over fear is calling me! It’s been rough these last few months and it’s a very long story with lots of loss. But I am trying to have courage over fear. I’m a notebook and pen hoarder and have a drawer in my dresser that is only for notebooks. But they are usually the ones I stock up on when Target has school sales. My hubby is always surprised when he finds only college ruled notebooks in my drawer and not clothes. I had to stop Nano due to the tragedies in my life the last few months. But I am looking forward to trying it next year and seeing what you all are doing. Xox

I’m in a writing slump. My mom passed suddenly last month and I just can’t journal daily like I use too. I’m hopeful that will change as I enjoy my morning pages and gratitude journaling. Thanks for another great notebook challenge month.
I’m such a huge fan of the diverse books challenge. I’ve just been rereading Becky Chamber’s books. She’s not a diverse author, but her take on a society that moved passed race and gender issues is just amazing

Your notebook challenge videos are amazing. Thank you for creating a safe space for notebook/stationery enthusiasts! For whatever reason, I used to commit to using only one type of notebook/planner even though no one notebook could suit every need. Because of your notebook challenge videos, I don't feel like an odd duck for wanting to use not only multiple notebooks but also multiple types of notebooks: Happy Planner, Hobonichi, hardbound, softbound; blank pages, quadrille, dot grid, college ruled; A4, A5, A6, B5, B6, travelers -- the possibilities are endless. lol
Never heard of the notebook challenge how fun!!!! I currently have three notebooks... one for book ideas, one for bucket list items, and one for dinners. I would love the galaxy looking one! I will also have to check out those books.
I look forward to your notebook challenges, as i am also a planner girl.. and I watched how you utilize the konbon board and created one for myself. Watching post-it progress move down the board is rewarding. My 2021 word is Simplify. The Llama 'nope' is a reminder to simplify life, saying no to things that can overwhelm.
I've been kind of lax on filling out notebooks this year, but I recently started filling out my One Questions a Day book, then doing one writing prompt a day, then working on a new story idea. I actually recently finished watching your How to Plot Your Novel series and filled up a notebook I had so I always have it with me when plotting and writing. The series was very helpful!
I plan on using the rest of the notebook to write down and tips and tricks for writing novels in general so I always have them. I've only been doing that for a couple weeks and it 2/3 ways full already. There's always so much to learn.
Anyway, you always have the cutest notebooks to write in. I love the Wild + Free happy notebook for the giveaway. Galaxy stuff is kind of my aesthetic so I always have my eye out for anything with starts and nebulas.

Thank you, I do love see how you use your notebooks, as I love writing, or making monthly vision boards in them. I started a new book for morning notes, but drew a blank on what to write! Would love to see a video on how you started your morning pages! Can I say you are an amazing person, with a heart full of kindness. I have stepped back this year and said if I don’t get everything done each day or month it is fine, and look at what I did achieve and congratulate myself. It is all about good mental health and being kind to the self. ❤️💜

Haven’t yet picked on my word for 2021. This year it was savor. It’s really helped me appreciate each moment and the beauty of every day life during ongoing self quarantine. I may continue with that word or may be joyful because as I’ve learned to savor my life exactly as it is, I have found joy in the present moment. I would love the neutral layers Erin Condren if I happen to be picked.
I want to thank you for all you do, I can’t remember when I started following you but it was years and years ago. I think I’ve taken all your courses and you’ve added so much to my life. I am participating in NaNoWriMo again this year with my memoir/nonfiction and doing really well.
For the first page of what I believe you called your summer journal where your cute baby ripped a page. I would do something creative with that page, like maybe some cute doodles, a collage of pictures of your family. Just some examples this way when you like back at this journal its like your daughter left a memory there that will last forever.
I'm new to the notebook challenge and I am totally here for it!! I too had a bit of addiction of buying notebooks with the intention of filling them. This month I went with the black bullet journal. This is my first time using one and I'm loving it. I have been tracking NaNoWriMo progress and possible future book ideas as well as daily journaling. 😁
I'm using one of the large spiral bound composition notebooks for Nano. I love them. I buy a new one every year for my projects.
For every day, I have a smaller 2020 planner that tracks work stuff, finances, any appointments. And for reading, I keep a bullet journal. It's a Leuchtturm dot grid journal.
I've considered keep another notebook to track tv and games that I play... but I haven't committed to it yet.
Yaaaas! A HB notebook challenge! I’m totally jealous of the hobonichi! My word for 2021 is ‘determination’ because I’m determined to do lots of things next year! The EC notebooks have really intrigued me. I’ve been eyeing them online!

2021 is apparently going to be the year of Hobonichi for me. I have a Weeks, Techo A6, Cousin Avec A5 and a 5 year heading my way direct from Hobonichi along with some fun covers and accessories. Oh no! I didn't know EC had notebooks with the layers pages. I love a decorated page. I think my word(s) for 2021 are Comfort and Joy. Yes, they are Christmas song lyrics but I didn't have much of either in 2020 and can definitely use them as inspiration in many areas of my life for all of 2021. Always look forward to these notebook videos.
I was so excited to see a notebook challenge. I have an evening journal I write in most nights unless I am super tired. I would love one of the EC notebooks to start a morning journal. November has been so chaotic but I have been following your NaNoWriMo diaries and was happy to see this November challenge video come out. I am already looking towards choosing my main journal for next year and need to decide whether to continue with the same style that worked this year or try something new.

I've been waiting for this months notebook challenge video as I missed last months! I've spent the last few days going through my things and downsizing and realized I have only my leather journal and one other notebook left. I'm pretty sure I will fill up the other one by the of the month. I always love seeing your videos and your pretty notebooks!
These notebook challenges brought me here. I currently have 7 cubes of an Ikea Kallax filled with empty notebooks.
But I’ve demolished 10 this year, including one 600 pager, and two comp books.
I would love the Happy Planner notebook, I think. I don’t have anything like it.

Ah stationery, especially notebooks, I'm an addict! And when you talked about your Happy Planner Sarra, off I went find out what this notebook with discs was and discovered it's not such a thing in the UK EXCEPT thank goodness on Etsy. I love the Classic Happy Planner as it's the perfect size for me me ... smaller than A4 and bigger than A5. I've bought different covers and discs, inserts and dot grid digital designs and more on Etsy, managed to find the 11 hole mushroom punch so yay can pretty much create my own perfect planners now (note I said planners not planner!!!). Love your monthly notebook challenge, it's feeding my want list. Clever to combine your notebook challenge and vlog together - as always I'm inspired by you Sarra.

I am just starting to think about my word for 2021. So far I am leaning toward "Forward", because I have been stuck for so long.

I'm the same way with notebooks! (and stickers) I do bullet journaling so I use about one notebook a year. This year with everything, I will have lots of unused pages. I am slowly filling in the back of it with author ideas, lists and other random things to use it all up. I already have my bujo for next year waiting to be used. I really liked the happy notes notebook. I love moons and stars themed items.
Congratulations on the new house! That's so exciting. My parents finished building their "forever home" (retirement home) a few months ago and they love it!
My pick would be that galaxy-themed notebook. It looks awesome!
And I think my phrase for next year would be "Making Space" - I have way too much going on and I need to work less.

I love your notebook challenge videos! It's always so inspiring to see what notebooks you will be using this month. Earlier this year I finished my first notebook completely for the first time in a very long time and I feel like it is in part thanks to this challenge! The Michaels notebooks are my go-to and I have so many so I would love either the Neutral Layers or the Happy Planner!

Right now, my partner and I are watching the Star Wars cartoons which do fit into the movie universe, I recommend adding them to your Star Wars watch-- your son will love them. Although I'm moving away from the EC brand; I love, love the EC bright layers design.

We moved to our new house in September, since then my notebooks are on pause .... meaning they are still in a box, one of the 101 boxes that I still have to unpack ... oh my... lots of work to do! But I love all your notebooks as always.
