Some days/weeks are like that, where you just don't feel like stitching or don't get as much done as you had thought you would. Love spending some of my Sunday morning with you. It’s so fun to watch your progress on Halloween Quaker. I started in to the lower right corner, so I like seeing where we’ll meet in the middle. Away We Ride is so pretty. Can’t wait to see your continued progress on that. And I continue to be in awe of your knitting.

Not wanting to be creative is such a mood. I love counted cross stitch (and the crochet I do) cause I follow the patterns exactly. I totally get that making changes can make a piece more personal but I completely understand how it can be draining. 😂

I think summer time is just stealing stitching time, especially with kids. Gotta be outside and soak up the good weather and memories. My stitching has also slowed right down but progress is progress!

As a Norwegian I actually jumped in my chair when you said rosemaling 😂 I have a chest painted by my grandfather as a bridal gift for my grandmother and I’m so looking forward to seeing how this turns out! I might have to get your color scheme 😂

Hi Megan. Loved all the stitching and especially the Halloween stitches. I was stitching on Away We Ride as I was watching and thought, doesn't everyone start Halloween stitching in the summer??? I started in June 🤣😂 The sweater is gorgeous and I love the one you picked out for your next project. I'll almost always choose to knit a pullover instead of a cardigan----probably because I feel like I'm much slower when purling and although I've steeked a cardigan before to avoid purling, it's not my favorite thing to do. I feel like it could always go horribly wrong 😬😂 Enjoy the rest of July and keep stitching Halloween:)
I would totally steek it to avoid colorwork purling LOL. I am a lazy knitter for sure. I get what you mean though because you just don’t know how things will really fit till you already cut them up. That’s scary!

They are amazing and that is what Made me fall in love with knitting but they have some wonderful knitting patterns and she did a pbs show that you can often get for free from your library. Just lovely as usual
I absolutely love Elizabeth and Meg. Megs Norwegian rose jacket is the first colorwork project I knit for my Grandma. I have several Elizabeth Zimmerman books. She is such an inspiration!
