Just got back from our first visit. The north side was still closed (until May 15) so we visited the South Rim. Hiked down a ways on Bright Angel but still far above the river. Beautiful!
That’s a great hike! So sorry to hear that North Rim was closed. Even though that people find North Rim prettier the South is more impressive. Thanks for your comment!❤️

@@traveltherightpath Is late September a good time to go to the North Rim?
@MrManfly if you don’t mind cold weather especially at nights. They close October 15th because of winter, consider weather changes because of altitude. Even it’s less crowded than South, September will be less crowded.

The North Rim is beautiful but the best views of the Canyon are in the South Rim

I should had went when I did my Mighty 5 visit. I was 100 miles away from the North rim and had the time.

I made it to the North Rim. It is way better than the south rim. I had a blast. Spent 2 days there.
