Garner state park is situated at the Hill Country side of Texas in the town of Concan. The Frio river water is from a spring, that's why it's so clear and cool during the hot summer days in Texas. There was a lot of families gathering for many years and a lot of fun and activities during summer time.

Just got back from our first visit. The north side was still closed (until May 15) so we visited the South Rim. Hiked down a ways on Bright Angel but still far above the river. Beautiful!
That’s a great hike! So sorry to hear that North Rim was closed. Even though that people find North Rim prettier the South is more impressive. Thanks for your comment!❤️
The North Rim is beautiful but the best views of the Canyon are in the South Rim

Indeed, even though south rim is more impressive, north rim is prettier and peaceful.

@MrManfly if you don’t mind cold weather especially at nights. They close October 15th because of winter, consider weather changes because of altitude. Even it’s less crowded than South, September will be less crowded.

I made it to the North Rim. It is way better than the south rim. I had a blast. Spent 2 days there.

Wife and I did the same trails several years ago. I too drive a Duramax 3500 Dinali dually and it sometimes was too wide so I had to back up a few hundred yards; not fun for a “flat lander” 😖. Nice video, thanks for bring back wonderful memories.

You really captured the sunset.the other part of the trip seems kind of dangerous to me.I can see and enjoy the appeal from your lenses but I'm not sure I could drive up there not to mention im a terrible driver. I`m this kind of human being who always take the easy way out and that route seems very isolated incase of something goes wrong. lol Funny I should say that, last year, a driver I had hired to drive me through the desert in Egypt abandoned me for some time in the desert, it was TENSE moment Thanks for sharing, i really appreciate
