Are you tired of overpriced garbage LCD Monitors being sold for upwards of $800, well me too.
But I digress let’s move on and take a look at the 27" 1440p 240Hz HDR 27G1S gaming monitor which was sent to me by INNOCN for this review, but you guys know me, I'm not gonna hold back, so let’s get into it already, should you buy the INNOCN 27G1S 1440p 240Hz HDR gaming monitor,? Yes you should, because for the price it offers incredible performance.

It has a matte finish, even for a budget I wouldn't buy that crap. So my wait continues! I'll get an OLED TV at this rate 😬.
why is it 144hz here
This monitor is currently on sale for $299.99 with an additional $50 coupon bringing it to $249.99 in the U. S
just got it for 150 on july 11th because of prime day :)
@@dmgval still only $250 here, now it's marked as $279 with a $30 coupon. Prime day is a joke this year
wow im fortunate to find this video, was looking for a 1440p 240hz that wouldnt break my bank and saw this vid and immediatley heard u say they sent it to u so i almost clicked off but ur test made me stay not even mainstream display content creators run test on their monitors. hope for prosperity in your youtube carrer your tests that you run will definitely get you places.
👏
Just bought one, exactly what I've been looking for
Any problems with adaptive sync and flickering ?
is this panel better than the samsung odyssey g7 (1440p 240hz VA) in terms of responsetime and ghosting
How does the 27g1r compare to this? It looks like the same monitor to me but w a 144hz refresh rate instead
How do you get the back to light up? The two corners on the front screen bottom (the red lights) aren't lighting up for me as well as the back red strip isn't lighting up. I don't know if there is a way to actually turn it on.

What color settings should i use for this monitor
Hey so I have purchased this in August and it is an amazing monitor great quailty and everything, but when I use a display port the monitor flashes white or goes black(not fullly black just kind of dark and flickers with white lines like it broken) then i unplug it and it fines for a few minutes but it keeps happening and very annyoing when i am playing games. I have tried different display cables and both of the display port ports, can anyone help?
did u fix?
I got black screen how can i fix?
It’s 500 dollars in Amazon rn ???
Good value, and actually quite insane reported contrast ratio, this has to be a VA panel right?
Yes.
He may have screwed up on the contrast ratio measurement, because I've got the monitor myself and I measured a ratio of about 3500. And CZcams reviewer techless also reviewed this monitor and measured 3461:1.
Ips monitor
fast ips
Based review. unfortunately, $300 for a 240hz 1440p monitor was too good to be true for my case :\ probably due to bad QC, I got a 27G1S that'd get terrible artifacting, flickering, and flashing of the entire screen in games when it was consistently reaching high framerates of 240. (literally unusable)
I just refunded my monitor through amazon, and while the insane price to performance IS there with a working panel as you showcased, doubt I'll buy this monitor again, since a handful of other amazon reviewers claimed to have the same issue with identical pictures of the artifacts I was getting. just purchased a new Omen 27QS for $340 from BB.
How is the omen? I was looking into it too since it’s a 240Hz IPS.
@@itsArtNotAcr1me amazing for the price, i got it on sale at Best Buy for $390 ($429.99 - ~$80 off + ~$36 tax), 240hz @ 1440p works perfectly. coming from a VG248QE, it’s got great colors and contrast G-SYNC, decent built-in speakers, 2 usb-a 3.1 ports, headphone jack, a good adjustable stand, and even a neat RGB backlight that you can set to change with your display with the app.
only downside really was some reverse ghosting/overshoot with the monitor’s response time set to the highest settings (4-5, I’d stick with either 1-3).
I've had TWO 27G1S monitors like this and Im trying to be %100 it's the monitor and not my gpu... Will probably pick something similar as you up
@@asaFPS I decided to upgrade from a omen27qs to a msi271qrx after a while
Dude you are so funny lol tbh i have the lg c2 and i have no reason to be interested in these videos but you are so funny i still be watching these . Keep it up this shit made my day
Thanks for watching 🙏
Will it support ps5 vrr
need refresh rate and overshoot table
anyone that bought this, do you know if it’s capable of being put on a monitor mount?
yeah, but you need to by m4 standoffs for vesa mounting
Omen 27qs is $349.99 USD right now @ Best Buy
I bought it on that sale and for the price it's disgustingly awesome
sad its not available in my country
How do you think this monitor would do with a Ryzen 9 7900x/RTX 4090
Holy shit bro get a 4k OLED 240hz monitor at that point
@@skezobruh I got the Spectre 27” curve 165hz 1440 with upscaling it’s very nice
Just picked up a refurbished 27G1S from their website for $135. 1440p 240hz for $135 is crazy cheap I had to pick one up
How you liking it so far?
@@B-ROYalty I'm loving it bro this was an insane deal. I read about people saying this monitor's adaptive sync feature being unusable because it makes the monitor flicker but I haven't had that problem at all. Also I am coming from an IPS panel monitor and was worried about the colors and viewing angles of this monitor's VA panel but after adjusting the settings to how I like it, it looks the same as my IPS now. I would definitely recommend this
@@JediPacmanis it not an IPS monitor?, just ordered one off Amazon and its advertised as IPS not a VA.
For me in Hong Kong it cost $1800 = $180 USD
I know it’s been a year since this video, but I recently got one on sale for 199$. Crazy price for the specs, I’m excited to see how it holds up in person. Coming from 1080p 60hz, I can’t imagine I’ll be disappointed.
How has the monitor been? Trying to see if its worth the buy. Currently has a 170 hz monitor
How is it?
@@humanbeing4692 Honestly pretty solid, it was a good upgrade from my previous monitor. The larger size and HDR support were also great bonuses for me.
Just ordered one on Amazon for 249.99$
It’s 40% off right now (lightening deal) plus 30$ off coupon they offered! Glad I made a good decision it looks like after watching this video.
Hey how's your experience been with this monitor a month or 2 later???
I'm a little miffed I didn't snag it for $220 at the time as well because of my reservations about VA panels. Would love to pick this up as a secondary display tho still if it's actually good and without major issues like ghosting/response times or input lag etc.
@@B-ROYalty Hey, so i also bought this monitor but i also had reservations because i'm used to play on IPS and i was scared about the motion rendering being bad. And honestly, i can confidently say that i see no different in picture clarity compared to my LG 27GN850 or to my Asus VG248QE (an old TN Panel). The colors are way better than the older IPS and the 240Hz, while not being a huge bump in fluidity, does feel better than 144Hz. If you can find this on sale, it's a very good deal (paid 280€ during BF, it's usually sitting at around 450€ like most other 1440p 240hz monitors)
@@Nogara7 thanks for the info, I'm willing to buy it right now can you link me where you bought it from? Everytime I've tried it's only direct from their Innocn site and it never actually works for me.
I finally decided to get it (if possible) because in the middle of the night one of my daughter's damn cats knocked my OLED 240hz off my desk, it was dangling by the display port cord so I'm at the point it's not worth the risk even having that thing anymore. Between that and OLED's other issues and constantly babying it afraid of burn-in I'm done with it lol. Having a cheap monitor would be a relief, especially one as impressive as this VA that's actually somehow good? I'm sold
@@Nogara7 my plan would be to return both the OLED and an IPS LG 27gr83b-q I have, get this Innocn instead. It'd save me close to 1k for something that performs probably in-between those 2 monitors all things considered. Or if it at least matches the LG I'd be fine because it'd have no IPS glow
It is still more expensive at my country, but for the usual, great price, but 3.5 stars on Amazon doesn't look good
I dont get why people bitch about matte coatings. Ive played on one glossy monitor ever and i could see my keyboard reflecting its lights off the screen
Sounds like a keyboard problem
Even if your screen is completely matte you will still have the light in your eyes
I just don’t get why people want to be visually distracted and blinded while playing, as if it gives them an competitive advantage
Glossy is just king when it comes to a good display, 240hz is for niche gamers who can’t see the difference to 140 either way and prefer bad image quality. Especially since Nvidia is also doing everything in their power to make 1440p >60hz a halo tier product
@@pfizerpricehike9747 I play in 240 hz and there is a big difference between 144 and 240. And idk the new monitor I got has a matte finish that's barely matte. They're getting less and less noticeable
just got my aw3423dwf for my 4090 build, so hyped
@ybeef You should of got the dw. The dwf is shit. Returned that. Hdr is so broken on that and you will get screen tearing regardless what fps you get.
@@bledarrm7976 he has a 4090. He’ll be alr.
@@atrium12 i had a 3080 and it still had screen tearing
@@bledarrm7976 it’s probably your graphics settings. Try lowering them and seeing if you still get tearing at higher frames
@@atrium12 no even at higher frames i got tearing. The hdr wasn’t that great so i returned it.
That 6000:1 contrast seems to suggest, that he got a special picked reviewer unit, that had a selected VA panel.
The panel specs says 2500:1, which is mediocre for a VA panel. And all the other reviews of this monitor(so far) where they also measured contrast, it was actually below 2500:1.
So, HUUGE difference! 😉
Regarding this review, I would really have liked to see the response time for the slowest dark transitions measured. In order to have a number that can be more easily and directly compared to VA panels from other popular VA based monitors! Will this be possible, mr
DisplayGuy? 🤔😉
you're delusional, all va monitors say 2500:1 + he isnt sponsored by innocn
@@letix6220Uhh, it was a free review sample monitor he got directly from them??
It doesn't strike you the least "suspicious", that all other reviews using privately bought samples, showed far lower contrast ratio? 🤔
And as you even pointed out yourself, high refresh rate VA monitors for gaming, are typically only at the 2500:1 mark(or lower)! 😉
I've got this monitor myself and I measured the contrast (with a display calibrator) to be about 3500:1 at all brightness levels of 100%, 60%, 30%, and 0%.

This monitor cost $1699 hkd usd maybe like $170
