When I went to the omega mart in Vegas, one of the employees basically was “training” me and then when I made a mistake he told me “you’re fired” and all I could say back was, “can I get my paycheck?”. It was a fever trip and the best experience I’ve ever had

I am an omega mart employee. To be more specific I graduated to a factory employee. I can say additive s is perfectly safe. Perhaps you may want to try the source door again though. It will help you see that additive S is fine and in no way harmful

I think the employees in Omega Mart are so friendly. I was stuck on a quest with the Boop Card and an employee helped me by giving me tons of clues and I eventually found it.
Theory: If Meow Wolfs makes an expansion, then they might upgrade the store too. maybe like a toy section or an electronics section. Maybe the store upgrade can have a separate portal to a new area.
That would be really interesting. I wonder what kind of toys and stuffed animals they would make considering they’re all a bunch of artists.
At this point, I can’t tell is Omega Mart is a store, an amusement park, or a cult.

As someone who works at Omega Mart, there was technically 2 other OMs before (testers) that started it all. There will be more Meow Wolf locations that connect together. There will be more within the next 2 years that hasn’t been built yet at OM. So glad you got to come by Matt Patt! You pretty much got it!

@@mrsoisauce9017 yes, they were made by the OG founders of Meow Wolf. One opened to the public as a joke/ tester to see if people would react the way they wanted to the products. The 2nd one opened shortly as a more of a tester. Eventually, the Omegamart we have in Vegas is the official “first” one. In the back we have several concept art from the OG founders. Also, whale song and cherry blitz are the first products made for OmegaMart as well 😄

For matpat's information: there actually (as far as I know) are more omegamarts in this storyline. There is one in Denver which is located inside of a pre-existing attraction. It is a small area that fits two to three people at a time, but it does have lots of omegamart products and resembles on a basic level, the omegamart at area 15

I have been to Convergence Station twice and I know the area you're talking about well, but it's not an 'Omega Mart' per say, it's more of a convenience store that sells Omega Mart products. If anyone has any Convergence Station questions feel free to message me on the discord or reply here :D
Speaking of new locations, Meow Wolf is advertising that they're adding 2 new locations in Texas. One in Grapevine in the DFW area next year, and another in Houston the year after. Makes me wonder how they'll add to the overall story once they're finished, can't wait to check them out once they're open.
My brain is literally about to explode!! While watching The Carpetbagger videos about Meow Wolf and Omega Mart I simply thought it was a fun and strange place to visit. I never thought it could contain so much fun and exciting lore!! This is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad something like this exist. Sadly, at my age, I don't have any friends that would be as excited as me and would want to spend 8 hours in Omega Mart to discover all the lore with me (Never lose your inner child). I'm depending on you MatPat, Steph and his amazing team (How did you find so many people with the same interest and passion as you Mat? Lol) to bring this Meow Wolf/Omega Mart lore together for me!!! 13:40 When we were at Omega Mart in the Security Office (near the Source Door) a staff member went through a staff only door that would be the blue area on MatPat's map.
Being a nosy person, I snuck a peek through that door and just saw a big warehouse space. So yeah, my theory is also that something new is going in over there eventually

I love OmegaMart! And your theory about there being space behind the source door is actually spot on. I’ve spent 16+ hours at the exhibit, and found the other hidden codes to use on the source door. After finding one of them, the OmegaMart employee actually told me that the door can open, but no one has found the secret code to do so yet. Once it’s found, then the exhibit will be expanded

I was actually employed by omega mart when I was doing an exchange in America for 6 months! It’s really cool I want to go back to visit at some point
Definitely looking forward to more of these Omega Mart videos! I took my gf there and we had a blast! The lore/story is really interesting and there was SO much that we just didn't get the chance to go over because of areas just not being open to the public, attractions being closed (like the slide and laser room), and just not having the time to pour over all the clues! You're doing awesome work with this!!

My little sister (when she was "of the appropriate age) made up a doll-house display with doll furniture crafted by our grandfather, (who was a retired furniture craftsman, among other things, so the display looked hyper-realistic, had recycling running water and everything) and she did up a whole bunch of those "grocery-store" items that you'd find in a kitchen, only with farcical, imperfect, not-quite copycatted, humorous containers in the cupboards too. You could even take them out and read what they said as well, all sides. She even taped on images she'd "altered" to boot.
It was quite the masterpiece at the time. She was also ruthlessly inventive with the names of the items therein. Cheerios became Firey-Os, Pop Tarts became Popped Tarts (prostitutes), Corn Pops became Corns (from your feet)Popped, etc. Some of them were pretty gruesome, and her imagination and wit only became sharper and more wickedly refined as she grew up too. 😈 🥶🥶🥶

Because of your first video about Omega Mart I had to go. We actually spent 2 days there digging through Area 15. Then late on day 2 we went through the 3D exhibit, and I kept my glasses on after getting back into the main hall, and stuff was 3D everywhere. Didn’t go back into the store with the 3D glasses on, but it might make a difference. Especially in the garage or the factory.

Oh hey, Meow Wolf! Been a while since I last heard of them, back in like 2018. I really enjoyed their exhibit in Santa Fe, and I'm glad to see they're still going strong! Super cool to see they made Omega Mart, too.
Fun fact: my own dad was originally gonna be a project manager for Meow Wolf if plans went through back then! To think I might have been able to have a part in assisting with Omega Mart's lore is something crazy I would have never expected.

Let's be real. Thousands of years from now they are going to look at our civilization and assume we have a giant mouse god and a bunch of lesser gods. I mean, just think of all the shrines people have to their favorite "gods."
@@Forgetful678 I meant it as absurdist humor, but it's not entirely unreasonable. Archaeologists are going off bits and pieces of written history and their own personal views of human nature. Some of that has notoriously included notions of primitivism past archaeologists projected onto their findings that have since been proven false. While they are aware of the reality that not everything the ancients had lying around the house was an object of worship, you do see that as one of the first options almost always thrown in when discussing what something weird might have been used for.
Frankenstein was written in 1818 and we're still writing stories that treat the original source material as if it were real. Sherlock Holmes was created in 1887 and there have been countless stories written involving him (including Star Trek depicting people writing and playing through new stories about him in the 24th century). It's very likely super-powered beings like Superman and Wonder Woman will be facets of society for a long time as well. And, to be blunt, between the figurines and the language we use to describe fans, and the language used to describe the characters, someone without context might mistakenly believe they were religious figures.
So it's not impossible that the jackal headed character was someone's art project that people wrote stories about for over a thousand years. Unlikely, but not impossible.
It'd be cool if Omega Mart would add something about an "individual" guessing what truly is happening there when they possibly open the door.

Seeing the map made me think - constructing a legit map might be really useful. Like, good old fashioned style, measuring walls with numbers of steps to find hidden areas and empty spots.
Or just wave around your Samsung flagship phone with the 3D scanner app running. I've seen an app that claims to generate floor plans with measurements and superimposes the visual footage on the surfaces of the 3D model is generates.
@@JohnDlugosz It would need some good testing beforehand. The whole point would be to help find things like "This room is two feet shorter than it should be as seen from the hall outside. And the next is three feet so. There's a hidden room between them."
Without know, really well, how good the equipment is, it would be hard to know where discrepancies are. The ol' "heel-to-toe" walking method is antiquated and cumbersome, but it's reliable most of the time.

We we’re in the village and at one point the projection has figures with their arms up, an employee started doing it and soon after so dis everyone in the area. I did for a few seconds and then dropped my arms. Once I did that employee gave me the my most insane death glare until I put my hands up again lol 😂

my husband and i noticed the cast member lurking in the dark corner there too but to be honest we think they just have someone stationed in there for liability reasons as i imagine that particular space has alot of potential for concussions. I wonder how many people have walked into one of the mirrors full force thinking the space was bigger than it was.....

So after watching your first video, I went to vegas to check this out for myself in September. And two things happened while I was there that I don't know if it's canonical or not but I thought i'd share it. One of the employees said that Walter was the person you can see stretched across those La Croiux knock off cases in the store. But when I asked another employee about it, they pretended not to know what i was talking about. The other interesting thing, was I asked another employee about the message from Walter in the laser room (where you have to block a certain amount of lasers to stop the music and hear a message from the source) and she said that the installation in Denver that just opened up continues that storyline but they haven't implemented it here (Vegas). I don't have the means to follow that up right meow, but I wanted to share those random, and out of character responses with you Theorists.

Convergence Station has the entire 2nd floor of 5 blocked from "passengers". They definitely planned for expansion here.
I hope Matpat picks this series back up. Each of the locations seem to have their own stories, but they might also be connecting together to slowly make one big story. I’d love to see him visit the convergence station as it’s my favorite of the three MeowWolf locations.

I've been to Convergence Station in Denver twice now. If you guys have any questions, there are several alien languages I also have the time and patience to translate, there are multiple storylines that I have completed in Convergence, and I have tons of videos, codes, and pictures of story elements in Convergence. I have a huge info dump that I've yet to compile for the Reddit, but it could help with the Omega Mart and overall Meow Wolf story :)
I am with you there! I have my QPass and can definitely assist on that. In fact, while I was on C Street, I tweeted MatPat that OmegaMart branded products are indeed sold there.
In fact, I can saw with complete certainty that QDOT and Dramcorp are involved in portal building together. Plus, Convergence Station is where four dimensional realities collided to exist together. Sounds like a supercharged portal location in comparison to the Forked Earth to me

I've been twice and 10000% concur with your theory. There are actually multiple source door codes throughout the exhibit, that give you different results when entered. We tried two and witnessed a third. We intend to go back and try more.

As MatPat's theory, I came up a hypotasis, Omega Mart ARG takes place across the multiverse, including ours. So, with Omega Mart as a gateway, there is a small chance that's we might also be a part of the story, with our actions having consequences on how the story will turn out. Remember, there is a literal physical shop in the America, meaning that it might hint that what we do might actually lead to different endings.

I went to Omega Mart, and one of the things we did that u didn't talk about was trying to find the mascot. There was one mascot that had gotten lose and ur able to find it, but we weren't able to find it while we were there, but I know u can find it bc the employees gave us clues to find the missing mascot.

I went to Omega Mart when the last episode came out. I spent three hours in there and I could not figure it all out! I wished that I was there while you guys were there! Just to see how you guys go about solving it! ❤️
So, I did a bunch of research on the house of eternal return a while back, and all of the strangeness actually has to do with soundwaves. I’m not good at explaining things, but basically people with a special “gift” can manipulate soundwaves. Someone tried to use a kid to do something and it screwed up the house.

@@L16htW4rr10r So, from what I know of the 3 latest Meow Wolf installations (House of Eternal Return, Omega Mart, and Convergence Station), the concept of interdimensional portals (along with their use, their origins, their purpose, etc.) are important to each location's lore and story.
The Carpetbagger here on YT has been to HoER twice (at least) and made videos about each visit. From what I have gathered, the family in the house in question were all sensitive to/tuned into portals in some way. (I'm about to do bedtime routine with my kids, so I don't have the bandwidth to go into more detail.)
Omega Mart seemingly has portals to various parts of a specific planet in a specific dimension.
Convergence Station (the installation I know the least about) seems to be a literal hub where several portals. . .well, converge. So, think Stargates that lead to different places all within each other's vicinity.
My hypothesis is there are various ways to create portals. . .and various ways to access them. Certain people are born with these abilities naturally, while some are born with these abilities due to Source exposure in-uetero, and still others gain these abilities through consuming massive amounts of Additive-S that has been enhanced with Human Element.
Now, as I said, that's just my guess. Once I can actually GO to all these installations and compile as much information from each as I possibly can, my hypothesis may change. We'll see.

There is one area you neglected to mention. Between the desert and the factory, on the back wall, there's an exit sign that leads to a very small hallway with a dead end. The end of the hallway is bolted shut with a cushioned wall and above the wall is Iron bars, through which you can peer past the wall only to see utter darkness

You should make a theory about how the Coca-Cola company actually made Santa's costume red, as it is supposed to be green. For a Christmas special or something like that.
Thomas Nast started portraying Santa in his red suit in the 1880's. Louis Prang, noted Christmas card artist, gave Santa a red suit before that in 1875. Coca Cola's Santa came around in the 1930s.

Gezz this is so interesting and cool!! A little creepy but nothing compared to Happy Meat Farms Videos. Now that is the dark twisted version of Omega Mart. I wonder if Mat even knows about Happy Meat Farms? It would be cool to get a theory or two on it!!
I'm a bit disappointed that MatPat didn't show off the various things he DID purchase from Omega Mart... are you able to purchase things like the strange cereals or is it all part of the display and not actually anything? If you did purchase a strange box of this or that, did it have anything strange inside or what?
I was just there this past weekend. YES! Everything on the shelves in the store can be purchased. The cereal boxes definitely contained cereal inside them, and all the food products are legit edible products with interesting packaging. I was genuinely surprised, and impressed by the level of detail put into the mart alone. We stayed in there for about 2hrs and I barely scratched the surface of the lore going on...it was really easy to just get lost in the sights and sounds and forget about the meaning behind everything. I highly recommend checking this place out.. as well as the rest of the Area 15 place!!
@@EpicWarrior113 I was so disappointed by the mix of real (substantial) product and what i will call facade products. I was excited to buy the "oh those" after picking up the other filled cereal boxes because it looked like a fun generic brand quality chocolate flavored lucky charms but it was just an empty cardboard box. On the other hand i wanted to buy the "plausible deniability" detergent bottle for my mom who is obsessed with all things laundry but was irritated to discover that there was real soap inside. I wouldn't have a problem with that but (1) i'm not lugging home a giant heavy bottle of detergent in my luggage from my vegas trip just for a cool label sticker and (2) speaking of the label, there was an issue with every. single. bottle. the soap was leaking out the top of some and saturating the sticker ink discoloring it or the adhesive on the rest was so old and gross and discolored the label. like it was obviously these bottles have been there a looooooong time with very few purchases being made. I really was looking forward to buying all the fun empty packages of household products or real food products but ended up with no more than an enamel pin.

Had to revisit this series. I went to convergence station for the first time yesterday, and there is some info that could possibly link here. First, they are definetly the same universe. on C street in CS, there is a small little corner store you can visit, featuring omega mart products like whale song deodorant and DONE laundry detergent. Second, existence of the source is also confirmed there (one of the performers there was offering source-based tarot card readings there. The source, from that perspective seems to be a way to look into the future or be a wellspring of pure knowledge. I was told to hold my hand to a stone and offer a memory to the source for my reading). which means that likely source and oss crystals are linked somehow (oss crystals are crystals that exhibit magical properties like the ability to absorb and store memories). There's way way way more to look into though. I wanna put this all together

I highly recommend the convergence station. it has so much lore and the forgotten four will be super cool to see as a theory. it is super big and long. you could spend hours exploring the floors.
So I live in Albuquerque, NM and I've been to Meow Wolf a couple times but I've never actually tried to solve the story. It's so confusing and usually I get distracted with all the pretty colors lol. But After watching the Omega Mart theories I think next time I go I will definitely take the time to actually go through and theorize myself!
I can imagine the nightmare it would be for tired shoppers who just want to get their groceries so they can go home after a long day of work.
Though I suspect that the "buy tickets to get in" thing would deter anyone just lookin' for some groceries.

In case it's of any help, there is technically something of a fourth Meow Wolf location. Elitch Gardens theme park in Denver (practically a stone's throw away from Convergence Station) has a dark ride there called Meow Wolf Kaleidoscape. The ride appears to be a sensory overload of fantastical art, but Meow Wolf has said it serves as a prequel to Convergence Station.
I think it’s funny that dart is a part of omega mart but dart is also name of the disaster assistance response team that was located in Ottawa Ontario Canada when it was still around.
