Bikepacking overnighter - Pole Taiga fatbike, sauna & new trails | Taival Outdoors

- In the scorching midsummer heat and chased by a swarm of bugs, I go bikepacking with a fatbike to Pihlajaniemi outdoor trails in Savonlinna, all geared up for an overnight adventure. But was it really an adventure since I had a good GPS trail to follow the whole time? I let you decide on that. Main purpose was to test out some bikepacking bags and see how Pole Taiga with front suspension handles the load and what kind of terrain I can conquer with this setup. I spend the night near Tervastupa and enjoy the sauna facilities - much recommended!

Jotain ihme pieniä kärpäsiä oli verkon sisällä siellä kärjessä todella paljon aamulla, mutta hyttyset tuntuivat jääneet onneksi toiselle puolelle. Siinä ne pään kohdalla oli nälkäisenä kytiksessä aamulla 😁

It is nice that the weather nazis informed you that the weather is extremely and unusually scorching hot, otherwise you would have only thought that it is a very nice warm summer that God has blessed us with.
In case you aren't aware, us Finns aren't really used to temperatures that can get close to +30C. Combining that heat with the high humidity of the dense woods (and the bugs), made for rather uncomfortable riding conditions during the first day.
@@TaivalOutdoors it sounds as if you are spoiled by modern environmental habitation controls.
The real world environmental conditions will temper your mental toughness, or you may parish. 😱😱😱
