Thank you so much, this has really changed the sounds dramatically for my Senheiser GameOne headphones. I have had these for 3 years and thought they sounded awesome out of the box, but they sound 10 times better with the equalizer setup properly. Thank you so much. This all worked fine. Thanks for the instruction vid. Some feedback though. You really need to slow down here and there and tell us that we need to download 2 programs for instance and that the download locations are in the description box. Or verbally explain what button you are clicking while you first point at it. It saves people having to back-up 60 times. Don't forget that you are explaining this to people who in most cases don't have a clue. Keep up the good work.

Anyways, ERRATA: At around 17:11, the band 2 slope should either be a Low shelf filter, or Low shelf filter (Q as slope). I used Low shelf filter (dB as slope), which is INCORRECT.

It is the best tutorial on youtube. Except for one thing. You are actually using the incorrect filters, and it changes the sound. You are using the slope in db low shelf filter when you are just supposed to be using the first low shelf filter on the list.
@@user-vi3tb3bw5t just checked, we're both wrong. The correct filter is "low shelf filter (Q as slope)", further below the list.
@@nghiaagent Both low shelf and q as slope filters are the same actually. According to Oratory on his subreddit, the only difference is the q as slope allows for altering the q value, but he uses the exact same slope value as the default slope.. So both are correct, just not the slope in db filter lol.
@@nghiaagent One interesting thing of note however, Oratory also just recently updated his presets, and added an "optimum hifi curve" that actually sounds a LOT like using the harmon preset with the wrong filter...Like almost exactly lol.

I was confused by the BW / S value as I couldn't input it. However I found this on the FAQ:
"Bandwidth BW / Slope S - Is the same as Q, but expressed in a different way."
So I assume it might be used in other equalization software, but is not necessary for Equalizer APO.
APO uses the term Q.

great job on the detail explanation. So I'm a gamer, and i'm trying to tune my headphones to hear footsteps, or the other detailed sounds of the game versus the common ones. Do these rules that you speak of in the video such as towards the end of the video about "harmonic" sounds still apply for 'steps' in a video game? How would I got about tuning each frequency towards that specific sound.
footsteps are more in the low frequency range, you can put a video of some gameplay from cs or rainbow six for example, then start tuning it to your liking

great guide although I did all this on my new dt 770 80ohm and it was way too silent and the sound wasnt my cup of tea so I decided to revert to default.
1 important problem: oratory 1990 headphone measurments for your model of headphone could be wrong. You don't have to type in his eq number, as You have AutoEQ button and oratory presets on the Peace interface.
That menu did not come while installing. Can I arrange it later?
I'm trying to use this with my SoundblasterX G6, which is receiving optical from my TV. Peace EQ works fine for system audio, but it's not even registering the spdif from the G6, which is connected via usb to my PC.
The capture device (soundblaster G6 spdif) is registered with the APO, and I tried "experimental" and regular.
Is the problem that spdif is not being send to my PC?
Would have to adjust your headphones equalization a lot differently compared to the Reddit guide, if you have your headphones running through a headphone amp?

Hi, nice video, it helped me a lot, but i'm still super confused about few basic things because i'm new to this stuff and i'm also total comp/audio noob in general.
First of all, i must admit i don't get how all this works, exactly. I'm planning to buy Audeze LCD-2C/LCD-2f, i want to use them with my laptop + Topping a30pro amp and d30pro dac and i only want to eq those headphones, nothing else - now, here's my question/s:
1) I guess in the Configurator window during installation process for Eq Apo, one of the options will be if i want to use Apo for Headphones + captured device will be Topping d30pro dac, right??
If yes and i choose this option, my future EQs for headphones will only work, when dac is on? If dac is off EQ won't be active?
2) If i create EQs for my headphones and then want to use those headphones without any EQ would it be possible by just choosing Equalizer default in Peace list of EQs i created?
3) If i use my headphones on some other devices elsewhere, sound signatue of the headphones wlll be Audeze's factory sound signature from the box, right?
4) If i turn off dac, and use some other headphones straight out of my laptop's jack, there will be no EQ?

Hi I still don't get why my audio got louder. I played around with EQ APO before cuz my old heaphones actually doesn't increase the volume even with the settings pumped up to maximum. and with this new earphones, everything is LOUD as in I'm watching this video @ 20/100 volume on mine and 5/100 volume on youtube and it's still loud. How do you reset it?

just ignore that bands, or press " ctrl - " until you have only 10 bands
Hello, I feel as if nothing changes when I use the Peace Equalizer. When you turned the pre amplifying slide left to right while playing music, it sounded exactly the same. Driving me nuts, Arctis 7 is what I'm rocking.
Make sure you have rebooted your PC after installing EQ APO.

You might want to work with Steelseries's own partner program for customizing your Arctis. I'm about to head into the store to pick up my own pair of Arctis Pro's, so we'll see how that works out.

Hi, I'm using Edifier H850 which is not in the AutoEQ list. Any other tutorial that can help to EQ?
I tried this with my Sony Wh-1000Xm3. They were so so so bass heavy out of the box. And in the search of finding the solution, I came across the oratory1990 presets. Now my Xm3 sound incredible. I can't believe that this headphones could sound this good. And still can't understand why sony made it sound this bad out of the box. You should definitely try this out for your headphones. I don't think this presets work that great with in-ears but if anyone has a different experience tell me.

@@romainprovost7164 Keep in mind if you are used to the bass heavy sound of the xm3, you will find this lacking bass at start. Use this for a week without going back and then compare.
1. Download and install the wavelet app from playstore play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pittvandewitt.wavelet&hl=en_IN
2. Open app and open menu by pressing three button icon on top right and select legacy mode(I also turn on reduced clipping. It increases the sound quality but also increases latency.)
3. Connect your headphones and wait until wavelet app detects it. You can see the device name in your wavelet notifications.
4. Download 'Sony WH-1000XM3 GraphicEQ.txt' from this folder drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ntIsJ8XP1qlrvl6fj4wQ3l1CqddXEHMR
5. It will download in the downloads folder I am assuming.
6. Now go back to your wavelet app Select AutoEq > Headphone model and then import on the bottom left. And search and import 'Sony WH-1000XM3 GraphicEQ.txt' you downloaded earlier. Once imported tap headphone model again and then search for 'GraphicEQ' and select 'Sony WH-1000XM3 GraphicEQ'(that should be your only search result)
7. Now go to the home of app and turn on AutoEq toggle. And you're done. This settings will only apply when you're connected to your Xm3s and not any other devices. So you don't have to come back and change the settings every time.

Either is fine! By default, the gain is set to 0, which won't affect anything.

Are you sure Peace GUI is safe? Scanned with Virustotal it shows like 6 potential malwares.

That K72 sounds painful :) I found another EQ preset that could help. Just apply like how I shown you here.

its basically EQ. and you can use many android apps to EQ as you wish. im sure your sony would have an app that can be used to eq.
I have a steel series arctis 7 2019 edition, could you tell the bands for hearing enemy footsteps in call of duty modern warfare., are harman and oratory1990 bands pics shown for music and video sounds only. The frequency is shows for Galaxy buds plus as 31,5 hz but i cannot enter , or . in frequency.?
Try the "boost" setting in-game. The harman target EQ is made for any content. All it does is try to make your headphones sound more "even" so no part of the frequency spectrum is exaggerated.
Also, go to 5:07 to fix your "," problem.
