    Watching your videos, I kept thinking how your farming terrain reminded me of the good turkey hunting I first enjoyed with William Thompson from around here. We had permission to hunt on farms of a Caswell County farmer and over on the Game Lands. We hunted there before turkeys spread to my farm here in Columbus County. That was in the 1980’s. The farmer was a Blaylock man. (Not sure if the spelling. I now have turkeys on my farm.

    That's a fine looking bean patch you have there Joe! I'm glad you did a video on taking the fast hitch off a Farmall. The first time I did it as a young boy, I have everything back there tore apart. My Great Uncle Claude showed me how to take it off and I've been doing it ever since. You are exactly right about getting greasy taking the hitch off.

    Joey hearing your gear noise gives me hope. I have bought several of the small Farmall’s of late and a couple do sound similar to your 140. I will never be able to get the usage out of mine that you do ( lack of acreage and past 75) and figure if you use it then I’ll do the same. I do have to replace a clutch/pressure plate on a Super A and it has a serous left brake issue. Not looking forward to splitting that tractor. Stan here.

    If you know someone that’s got a bead blasting cabinet you could dismantle them and remove all the rust pretty quick. Then prime and paint them. They would look like brand new.

    Paint them the old IH off white, they'll look sharp plus adds protection to the steel.
    Whenever anyone uses one of my tractors l always tell them as a disclaimer that the chances are they'll pick up some grease on their clothing so no complaining they get a stain or two. Myself personally l wear my dark navy work clothes so never have to worry, l'm more concerned keeping my equipment in shape than l am getting dirty. It's simple really, there is no regular clothing on earth that will last longer than a properly greased old tractor.

    That’s a nice hat, I always wear a hat now when working outside. When I was a little boy I said granddaddy you aught to wear some shorts and short-sleeves. He just laughed, he always wore long sleeves. The beans look nice, looks like the deer are staying out. You seeing any hoof prints in the beans?

    Thanks for the video, it really helped me set my tractor up today to lay my corn by. Can you make a video on how to remove the drive sprockets and chains on the fertilizer attachment to install the draft bar ???

    • @Jtwes
      @Jtwes  Před 2 lety

      Hey Andrew
      I don’t ever take those sprockets off the fertilizer unit to put the draft bar on. I either remove the whole fertilizer drive unit or use a center bar that’s bent made to work with the fertilizer unit still on the tractor.

    • @andrewcoleman9247
      @andrewcoleman9247 Před 2 lety

      After driving Rogers 130 you can really tell the difference. To be honest it all depends on funds. I have the ability and know how between me and Roger but funds will determine how quick I do it. I wanted to do the hydraulic first but yes it’s most definitely on my radar to do.
