Ok, I’m no troll, I like Taylor who is certainly a talented songwriter and performer and I’m pleased at her success- but I just don’t get the worldwide hysteria and adoration. I have watched her and, to me, she’s just like half a dozen other current female singer/songwriters in the music world; good, but nothing special and certainly not a “phenomenon”. Am I missing something?
Maybe her music is not your cup of tea. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t to others. Most people who listen to her music relates to her songs and enjoys the melodies. It’s also her genuineness, friendliness, her being sweet to everyone, her interviews where you can make out how funny, charismatic and intellectual she is all those things attract people to her. And not to mention her energy and confidence when she performs
