The roundhouse is a classic structure that just screams railroad. With that said I have never built one. A salute you for taking on the challenge and completing the kit. Well done. Bill B.

You've inspired me to repair my mostly falling apart 25 year old korber 5 stall o gauge roundhouse. Great job, both in construction and camera work. Back then, before utube, I had no tools and only ca glue. With you guidance here, it will go better and hopefully, more lasting. I now have a much better feel for the task, potential problems and your fixes. Much appreciated

Great job on the roundhouse Chris.
Bob is a great guy to work with. I have built a few of his kits.
Unfortunately when I built my roundhouse years ago know one had kits out.
    Had scratch built mine.
Then I had meet Bob when he first set up at York train meet for the first time. He was a few booths down from our booth.
I got one of his station kits back then.
I think this video is very helpful to those that have never built a roundhouse either a kit or scratch-built like I had to do. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! I didn't even have the patience for a plastic Atlas kit. Beautiful work, can't wait for part 2. The ribbon cutting and tour video was amazing.

Very impressive modeling! Thanks for taking us step by step as it really helps beginner modelers like myself get an idea of everything involved!

Wonderful Job! Patience is definitely a virtue in modelling.
On a side note, I like your attention to detail, especially in painting the vertical posts, the taping of the bottoms, and spraying them white AGAIN before the black to reduce or eliminate "bleeding"..
As for sanding the posts smooth, I would be curious to see if the prototype posts were rough hewn or smooth finished..? The fiber raising may actually be more prototypical..

I figured over the years the beams may have been rubbed smooth so went that direction.
