Going on my 2nd cruise with the grandparents in June this time around Greece and Turkey:) last time (October last year around Spain) we had a family cabin with partition and it was terrible … the slide door never locked … and even with a partition it was cramped..
This time we have separate rooms …. It defaulted me with a deluxe balcony cabin which I was shocked with as it’s a single occupancy and we was told last time single occupancy don’t get balcony’s … but obvs they do 😂😂and defaulted them with a inside cabin 🫣 so they upgraded to have a room near mine (the same style room as mine too)
Enjoyed your video Jay, We stayed in a deluxe Balcony cabin on Discovery back in Sept,'2019,and can honestly say we loved our cabin, we had no worn woodwork on tops, and all our bathroom tiles were in good condition. We have rebooked to go on Discovery 2 in 2023..
Hello Margaret! I’m glad you had a better experience with your cabin. Our cabin was tired, however it was very clean and didn’t spoil our holiday as we still take the view that Marella get a lot of things right, and they offer incredible value for money! However, we were delighted when we heard that Discovery and Discovery 2 are both getting full cabin renovations, so we’ll definitely be booking a cruise for sometime after they’ve carried that out! Hope you have an amazing time when you go, and thanks for watching :)

Cabin renovations are starting with Discovery in October 2022, and it’s reported Discovery 2’s renovation will follow either end of this year, or beginning of next!

I have booked my first cruise, its a while way Jan 24 and I have booked a deluxe balcony, we are doing the Eastern experience 1. Thank you for your great videos about marella ships.

Thanks for the feedback Ben! Its not the nicest mini/junior suite we've seen, but to be fair we never paid for it!
We have just come back from Marella Discovery cruise and the ship was good Could not fault it ? But i wont be using Tui again because of the Air service Its appalling its Cattle Class and thats an insult to Cattle Personally flying is part of the Holiday which should be enjoyed I will now be looking for far better flying experience which is long haul where I have good customer service from start to finish
Sorry to read that you had such a poor experience with Tui. We're not the biggest fans of this airline either - on our return flight for Discovery, our flight was delayed for 16 hours! It was a day from hell!
