These families that live here will be moved out after a few years. 1800 long term jobs that will require college degrees so unfortunately the local people will be left out of these positions. People from outside will move in and eventually phase these citizens out.
We should be looking at businesses that will improve the lives of individuals there not bringing outsiders in.
Guess what they are hoping is that the “new money” comes in from younger generations and families since the old money has moved away from the city.
Its unfortunate for the families and my heart is with them, but Taylor fought long and hard for Samsung picking them over a dozen other cities that wanted this investment. This change is not only important for this town, but also the State and even the whole nation. Advanced semiconductor facilities in your town is an incredible privilege that only a few towns out of the millions of towns that exist in the world get. Besides, theres alot of non-technical jobs that typical facilities require, that Taylor residents could do, Housekeeping / Cafeteria etc. Overall it'd be an improvement over the mom-and-pop dead-end jobs.
