This is so incredibly moving, wow absolutely breathtaking, i want to learn to play contrabass the more and more i find performances like this which really showcase the voice of the contrabass ,

Nailed it! Bravo! The 3rd movement is just fantastic. I wish I could play in thumb position like you. I did a lot of exercises, etudes and went through much repertoire, but I am nowhere near to this hahah...

You're spot on with the tempo but do you remember Paula Frank's version from "Immortal Beloved?" She drags the beginning and then goes crazy. Most likely for Hollywood but somehow its made me enjoy taking more time in the intro even though its marked adagio sostenuto. It isnt like im performing for anyone anyway!
