I have a quick question, Rachel. Was this pattern in the Alice Caroline S-A-L? I only ask because mentioned a deadline to download patterns. I signed up for the S-A-L, but haven’t downloaded any of the patterns yet. I am recovering from spine surgery, & I’ve been under the weather.
No no this is completely separate. There is lifetime access to the Alice Caroline patterns and videos so you don't need to worry about downloading them. This was a free make along with Arabesque scissors and the free period ends on the 5th, but available for general purchase after that

@alexandra-zaza-burns on reflection, it would have been good if I thanked her personally. However, I was feeling really unwell in this video, so it simply slipped my mind. I have been in private communications with her and she was happy for me to share the link. However I have mentioned the pattern (focus finder) by name and provided the link, and therefore, I promoted her newsletter.
I feel quite upset by this comment 😔
You acknowledged the pattern by name, & provided the link. It’s not like you were trying to take the credit for it being your design, & your pattern.
Some people get a little carried away with things. Don’t let it get you upset.
@@stitchwithrachel Don't be upset, you have no reason to be. You directed people to her site to get the pattern. She will still benefit from that promotion, it wasn't like you took her pattern and are giving it away directly yourself and bypassing the designer.
@@stitchwithrachel I’m sorry you feel this way but if you make a video using someone else’s free pattern it’s nice to mention their name. Every time you mentioned the quilt you are doing by Alice Caroline you mentioned her name, you didn’t mention the name of the quilt you mentioned the designer by name. If it was your design being used I’m sure you would like to have been acknowledged.
