I do know from persisting at practicing that I have lost slot of dexterity as I got olderr. Or requires lots of effort to just stay in shape. Jeff Beck actually got better and more technique and super fluent
You are correct, sir! I am 71, and first saw the Jeff Beck Group: him, Nicky, Ron, Rod, and Mickey W., October, '68, Fillmore West, saw all 4 nights, never played the songs the same way twice! Saw him at the Greek theatre on UC Berkeley campus in '75, at the Orpheum in 2K, Luther Burbank Ctr. in 2002 Always better, more amazing, I really miss him, too!@@jfson4321

Not really.. A lot of people are still super good at stuff till almost 100. Jeff stayed off the hard stuff, was a vegetarian, worked on cars a lot to stay strong, did what he liked to do. That makes an incredible difference, if you get to do what you want most of the time. I saw videos the first woman commercially successful pro drummer in the US, Viola Smith. She has videos from 1939 till fairly recently. I saw interviews with her at age 103 and her mind was still super sharp, she told tons of cool stories and still played drums some.. never retired. Finally passed like in 2019 or so. Think of all those that never got famous that are still jamming in older age! So yes, good health can go a long way.
He didn’t have kids to distract him. His wife didn’t seem too clingy. He could dedicate himself to his two main interests, playing guitar and working on his cars. All these things were to his advantage. He did things right. He seemed healthy…
@Roland Mueller He had relatives and cared for his large estate and cared for animals. He grew vegetables, worked on and built scores of Hot Rods and played a lot of music. All these things gave him what he needed to achieve his desires.

I am an amature guitarist and don’t even try to emulate him, but I will listen forever. Missing you always Mr. Jeff Arnold Beck!! Beck
I was there, too. Unforgettable night! I was with a group of 4, then one of us went to this show in Reno all by himself. He’s certainly glad he took in both of them now
I share the sentiments of all here. As I have said in other comments, Jeff is the greatest guitarist of my generation. I'm 71 and studied many of the greatest guitarists over the past 60 years. So I have the credentials to unequivocally state as fact that "Jeff is the greatest guitarist of my generation." I'm listening as I write, Jeff is doing it again. He is blowing my freaking mind. DO YOU HEAR IT?
I learned how to bend properly studying 'Cause we've ended as lovers' off of Blow By Blow as a young teenager. His music influenced me so greatly, I doubt I would've kept guitar as a life long passion without his music.
Thanks for this post .. hard as it is to accept I’ve come to think of a quick passing (in older age) as a kind of gift, rather than a long drawn out illness. Learned that lesson with my pops. What a treat to live in the time of JB’s mastery, I have thoroughly enjoyed many moments of JB inspired awe. RIP good sir, you are missed.
Roscoe, I learned the same lesson with my dad in 2021. Jeff was so alive during this tour, I'm sure his friends and family consider it a blessing. Best to you.
Our beloved Jeff Beck at his final performance on this earthly 🌎 plane. Phenomenal as always. I witnessed his virtuosity and genius twelve times from 1976-2014. So grateful 🙏 Jeff for all the beauty and passion that you blessed this earth with. 🕉

Jesus fc*n Hell Bound I'm Begging For Mercy Here, Lord. That solo he did in that first tune from There and Back (Beck, Hymas, Foster, Phillips). He was from another realm. I saw him in '77 and '97 both times here in Seattle. RIP Jeff Arnold Beck. 🌹

A REAL HEARTBREAKER HIT ME VERY HARD,RIP JEFF
A Heartbreaker 😭
Many amature videos of concerts don’t cut it, but these are good. I am so grateful that you had these and put them up here. Many thanks. Barely a day goes by that I don’t watch some Jeff Beck. I am an amature guitarist and don’t even try to emulate him, but I will listen forever. Missing you always Mr. Jeff Arnold Beck!! Beck
Thanks, I tried. Had I known it was his last, I would have captured the whole show.
RIP Jeff! I was fortunate to see him 2 nights earlier, at the Sac Hard Rock and he was great.
I was there, too. Unforgettable night! I was with a group of 4, then one of us went to this show in Reno all by himself. He’s certainly glad he took in both of them now
Thanks for the upload. It makes it even harder when you see just how healthy he obviously was here, and then, damn, 2 months later.
He seemed so chill and happy and was definitely having fun. Hard to believe that 8 weeks later he's gone.
Stellar !
Best to you.
thanks for the great music jeff ..r.i.p greatness 👍👍👍,, mark
Our beloved Jeff Beck at his final performance on this earthly 🌎 plane.
Phenomenal as always.
I witnessed his virtuosity and genius twelve times from 1976-2014.
So grateful 🙏 Jeff for all the beauty and passion that you blessed this earth with. 🕉
Thank you for posting this video.
You're welcome! Just dumb luck I was there and recording, so glad I did.
One of the best concerts I've ever seen SRV and Jeff Beck!!! Stevie ending up dying a few weeks after and now Mr Beck is gone. But their music will live forever!!!❤❤❤
I also. I've never cried in my adult life other when my mother passed away. But I have to say I was kinda choked up when I heard on the radio that Jeff Beck had died last week. R.I.P
A revelation and an inspiration. Listening to his songs again. Pure pleasure.
Thanks for posting this.
You're welcome!!
A Top showman to the end..Awesome performance...He is missed!Ty for this...
Anytime, glad I was there!
It was magic to the last few moments. I was SO looking forward to seeing this line up in Australia this year.. We still have the amazing memories and music of Jeff Beck. Thank you Grand Master.. 🙏
Yes, sadly we will not see him ever and truly, vale Dear Jeff you inspire our lives
Damn! I want more… probably gunna have to try to find more of this! So nonchalant and unassuming, then he just throws it down! Incredible!🎸🤘🏽
RIP Jeff and thanks for the music.
I was there! He was amazing.
Still at the top of his game!
Rest in paraduse Maestro Jeff Beck
Jesus fc*n Hell Bound I'm Begging For Mercy Here, Lord. That solo he did in that first tune from There and Back (Beck, Hymas, Foster, Phillips). He was from another realm. I saw him in '77 and '97 both times here in Seattle. RIP Jeff Arnold Beck. 🌹
Lovely tribute ..JB is smiling listening to that !
Saw him in London last year - amazing. A sad sad loss to music. Dig deep on the meningitis story everyone..........
I was there, just to the left of the stage, 4th row. Amazing, as usual.
Yeah, nice shirt.
1:40 Robert Plant enjoying the show. Jeff at top of his game, and sharp as a tack. ty 4 vid. Vale JB x
I know, it's Elaine doing her dance from Seinfeld!!! Lol. Glad I was in the right time/place to catch Jeff's last show. So sad and sudden.
Thank you Maestro.
I had the pleasure of his great talent ☺️ No one plays like he did. Perfection
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the great music, you may be gone brother, but your music will always continue to play LOUD in my house, you are the great man,R.I.P.⚘😔
After so many years performing Beck was physically strong! Alex Lifeson of Rush was having problems with arthritis. Beck was truly a rock n roll soul that spanned decades across all sorts of era's while still maintaining top notch craftsmanship. What a loss!
Saw him six day earlier in Los Angeles. Amazing show.
Love "Brush with the Blues".
If this show was officially recorded they should release it in CD.
JEFF BECK'S LAST CONCERT PERFORMANCE.
Phenomenal, how can you hold so much musical knowlege in one brain ? , all the notes all the timings all the hand/finger movements ? man it will baffel me to the end of my days, beck truly was a one off, RIP
Used to do the Nasty to Wired and Blow by Blow in University when they came out you were and will always be the King Jeff.
