The Paranhana River is causing new flooding in cities such as Três Coroas, Parobé and Igrejinha, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul flooding streets and covering cars. The river also invaded houses in the municipalities, leading residents to be rescued with the help of boats.
Until 5pm this Sunday, the city of Três Coroas recorded 127 mm of rain, resulting in a rapid increase in the level of the Paranhana River. According to a statement from the Volunteer Firefighters, the river exceeded the 3.50 meter flood mark.
