Assetto Corso sounds are awesome for a game that been out for a while. They knew what they were doing when it came to the driving aspect
I own PC2 but that transmission whine in AC is really nice, especially when you're going through slow corners.
Just lower the engine volume and then increase the general car volume in the audio settings
I’m new to sim racing and only have a T150 for a wheel. But my 120” tv and incredible surround sound system make for one hell of an experience.
I like project cars 2 for its career mode. It’s really immersive and I love jumping in every Saturday like a real race weekend. That being said, Asseto Corsa is just so incredibly realistic. I Auto X my mustang and the physics in project cars 2 leave me very confused at times. It’s just not natural and unpredictable at times. This is frustrating to the point where I don’t spend much time in it other than the Saturday. The weather elements are cool but if the rain comes down hard enough good luck figuring out when or why you just randomly spun out. Also the spins are very uncontrollable.
Over all
Project Cars 2 has the tracks and cars along with slightly better environment graphics. Also the career mode is outstanding!
Asseto Corsa is the Pinnacle of realism with sound that blows my friends minds when they come over to play. Overall just a better driving-simulation and in my opinion the game that gets most of my time.

assetto corsa would probably win even more in your book if you played on PC, the mods for it are insane
Assetto corsa wins in the sound department on this one. They’re both incredible physics wise, however I would always choose project cars to play. I always have more fun and a more enjoyable experience with project cars 2.

I'm going to give it a try simply for online lobby. AC online lobby is so limited. You don't end get to pick your car beside the car that is given to you in the lobby

Assetto Corsa sounds much nicer but personally I prefer the look and feel in PC2
While the graphics are better in project cars, assetto corsa doesn’t have the huge aliasing problem. Also, the feel of the cars in assetto corsa is amazing. The first time I drove in assetto corsa, I was stunned by how good the cars feel. I also prefer the cars in assetto corsa to the cars in pc2. However, pc2 has more track choices.
PC2 got the weather and the diversity of tracks but AC got the sounds and the physic is I wouldn't say way better but it's better especialy the tire model .
The pyshics isnt that far off from ac right. I tired gt sport simply cause of the online and it was just horrible it didn't feel real at all compare to ac

Assetto Corsa sounds great with the Fonsecker sound mods. Much better than the original sounds.
The camera vibration in AC made it look better realistically...

Well, they're pretty much head-to-head (pun intended) for me. Assetto wins in the sound category and I think it's the more accurate simulation. Yet, PC2 looks a little prettier, more detailed, and provides more content. Tough decision what to buy. I tend, to get them both ;)
AC is only lacking on content if you don't mod, if you do it's the most content filled racing sim only after other incredibly moddable games like GTR2
AC has more realistic handling. But I like how you can break the cars in PC2 based on how you drive.

In this video it looks like the FPS on pc2 looks better. But in a serious note the guys at mad studios didn’t do a good job on getting that Flat 6 sound on this car. Watch videos of how the Porsche sounds. I’ve seen IMSA live in person too many times. Porsche has a wicked sound. One of my favorites and AC has it pretty down packed. Pretty close. The characteristics of the Porsche makes a challenging car to drive but satisfying once you get the hang of it. PC2 doesn’t do that. That car is easy to drive. In AC you feel a challenge. The rear end to pushes forward and you get understeer as well. at least for me since I am playing from a console and wheel.

I tried both. My opinion: The looks and feel how it drives in projects cars 2 is not bad at all, i recommend you should try it first before playing assetto corsa. why? cuz it helped me in assetto corsa alot more. I tried assetto corsa first and i was like "i can't even drive" total noob. So i tried project cars 2 and then i returned to assetto corsa, it will help you mentaly to understand the basics.
If you want a real sim, assetto is the "go". But project cars 2 is not bad either. it was very close, cuz both are great and i judged the minimal stuff to get the result. so yeah, if you are a starter, i recommend you try project cars 2 and then transfer on assetto corsa. on assetto corsa is there a different option for chase cam? this one looks so weird, the car looks so... "static", I guess. On project cars the car shows some movements, it shakes and there are little "jumps".
you can move it around however you like and if you get csp you can customize the way it acts

I have about 120 hours in pc1 and 80 in pc2, and still i like assetto corsa a lot more become of the feel that the game has. only problem is the multiplayer and other than that. no question assetto corsa (130hours)

The visual track cues are 1000% better in Project Cars 2
For me sim is for realistic feel u get and want and pc2 doesn’t have that like asseto corsa
AC is better in every aspect besides graphics, options and features and sense of speed. Physics, Sound, road graphics and raw realistic feel AC beats PC2 hands down and that's most important.

Greg It's to show exterior sounds, movement and graphics. Not gameplay at 1:53. I do not like playing in exterior views but, I'd say the majority of humans prefer that view sadly.
It's because the game forces you to get better by playing in the cockpit view.

you do know that you can edit all camera angles and positions, right?
EDIT: you can even change how much the camera is affected by different forces (i.e braking, turning, jumps n stuff)

My issue with AC is the yaw. Too much.
these comparison videos are useless as you cant compare physics(Most import thing in a race sim) and AC is miles ahead of PC2 in that regard :)

But pc2 downshift reactions very slow,control feels so soft, Losing a racing car feeling a sense of control，unlike a racing car,In particular F1

ACC sounds much better and is probably a touch ahead on the graphics side of things... however... the trees in ACC are a bad case of copy and paste and for a highly detailed person like me it was a killer to watch once I noticed it.

Looking at Assetto Corsa in the third person, it seems that the steering acts on the rear wheels. What a horrible thing to look at. Someone says that Assetto Corsa is more manageable ... Just know how to set the car and you can do whatever you want. If it's easy, what's the point of calling it Simulation?
Assetto corsa wins just install CSP and SOL and you Will have a better looking game, PC 2 sounds remind me of NFS Shift,and AC modding community is awesome

AC driving physics is way way better than PC2. I can calibrate my wheel on FH4 and FM7 to feel like AC but could never get PC2 wheel calibration right even if I spend hours and hours of trying. PC2 = Piece of Crap 2 drive.
