I can't believe that some of the ModLand modders have the gall to charge ~$15 for a meshslap while the actual good paid mods like the Cherrier Picnic and Ibishu Signia are only ~$5 and have free demo versions.

Those mods are even worser than Civetta Mondello, which is paid mod but lower quality

The Mondello is not quite as good as other paid mods on the forums, but still 10000 times better than those $15 mods

The tireless cars one was so accurate. Almost all of the mods that ive been genuinely excited for has had some bullshit like no tires or straight up nonfunctional

honestly people always tell me to not install mods from modland because they are not on the forums for a reason, but more than half of the time they are not on the forums because they are real cars. To be honest what makes the game more immersive is having real cars.
can't wait for the upcoming updates of beamng drive, hopefully you will be able to have ai only use modded cars.
I got to admit, Modland is a "Wasteland" for Beamng Mods, you either are I'm the middle of nowhere with only trash and with a bit of scavenging, you find 2/3 or even more excellent mods, or you are greeted with a cup of coffee, cake and cookies.

I've used the website a number of times and it's a mishmash of good/bad mods. The 944 mod I downloaded was tireless as well but I was able to add them myself, save the changes and have a good driver. Some just refuse to work and some just flake right out (vehicles flying out of the map). Overall, for the free mods I've downloaded, there is some good content there.

I have tried some(might have gotten them Free) and they Are quite good,i just dont like paid mods

Mods on Modland are either expensive, have several links that force you to wait or are published by khyk who's mod quality varies a lot since they aren't actually his, they're usually old mods he updates to make the textures work in current versions
once got a bmw mod that did not clearly advertise as “pay for the other half of the car”
I downloaded almost all my mods from there, it was annoying but i found what i wanted eventually lol

i use modland, some work and others have missing textures or just crash my game. it's mostly just a mix of good or bad mods, although some look amazing, most don't and they just look like "an car"
1:35 i hate that guy too, spooling diesel sucks. he even makes the most dumbest mods paid and he can't even make a car with working pedals, shifters, handbrakes, and blinker sticks.
Every few weeks I just go through like 13 page of modland mods and open everything of interest in a new tab
I wait till I’ve got an unholy amount of tabs and I’ll just go through downloading everything that ends up not being paid or a dead link

I trust the mods that are over 100MB, if they're lower there's a chance it'll either not work or be bad, either a mesh slap or just low effort.
if its just a background prop that doesnt need to crash even the bad mods are fine for that purpose

I personally use modland on a regular basis, simply because I find it easier to browse and use. Every time I try to look for a mod an the official forum, half of the links that interest me don't work. Maybe it's my fault, I don't know. What I do know is that despite modland's (justified) horrendous rep, I prefer using it. And after a while I learned to tell the good mods from the bad ones before download. I think it's cool that some modders go through the effort of posting their mods on the website before they get stolen because honestly I don't like stealing, especially from talented people.
just use the in game repository and sort by recently updated. a lot of the top downloaded mods dont work well anymore as they are years old

Looking for cars they'd too often be Automation replicas, no hate to Automation I love the game just, it's not what I'm looking for. But then again maybe it's still my bad. Next time I fire up the game I'll give it a shot
@@detipacier try setting it to vehicles only and sort by recently updated. Should weed out 90% of the other mods like skins and configs. Read descriptions cause sometimes they need other mods to work
I’ve downloaded a few mods from this website. Downloading them is already sketchy enough, often times sending me to multiple websites before actually being able to download. Some mods are good, other are..interesting.

A lot of mods I've gotten that are FREE and really good are from modland. I found it to be a decently good place to get mods other than the beamng forums

I used to use modland all the time for mods they made it seem like anything that wasn’t on repo had damage spiking as a normal thing and you just had to deal with it for realistic car mods until I found forums from another video
99% of my mods are from modland if not from repo - modland is based

honestly. all the mods i get from ML are just fine, no issues at all. just get the mods with the most stars n such. and as long as you have windows defender turned ON, you shouldnt have to worry about something infecting your computer. stop crapping on a website when its yalls fault for making crappy decisions.

It depends on what people make the mods some are paid mods and some aren't and the ones that are free if u find the right person that makes the mod or "reuploades it" then they are actually pretty good

I do get alot of my mods from modland only because there are some good ones. But there are been some mods that have ruined every map texture, broke my vehicle spawner, and even had p*rn on them. And not to mention all the modders that steal mods from other people and sites.

One thing ya gotta look out for.. is the horrible ORIGINAL engine sound that has this awful loop.. You can hear almost a BUMP in the audio file because you can hear it looping.. Easier to hear at max rpm, but you can EVEN hear it near 3k...
