- We couldn't stay away from AURORA for too long. We're back with "Queendom"! Off the album Infections of a Different Kind (Step 1), we were very happy that we saved this one to react to, because once again, AURORA's performance and talent gave us a lot to talk and get excited about!

@@deecyp64 I think what you're referring to is kulning (similar to what she did in Frozen 2) but she's said that these noises in her songs are more of a war cry that she's had in her mind since a young age! 😊 kulning isnt practiced widely in Norway and Sweden much as it's an old tradition to heard cows! They do sound similar though, they're such lovely noises 😉

Actually... should do the whole concert. I think the version of her songs performed at Nidaros Cathedral is her best work yet.
There's no doubt that it's truly a magical performance but I think the HAIK version is better. She's in her natural element in that concert, out in the forest. The singing is so clean and perfect
The very first song she did at the Nidarosdomen Christmas concert was Nature Boy. It was awesomely haunting. I had done a little homework on the song beforehand. When she finished the song I stopped the concert, pulled up another screen to watch the song's evolution thru the original Nat King Cole 1948 release. Then booted up David Bowie's early 70's cover which AURORA was probably familiar with (she has stated that her parents listened to Bowie) I'm guessing. It's true, she makes every cover her own song . . .
I think the Nobel price performance of Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) is a very good contender

She actually has eyebrows, but they are very light blond. All natural as they say. She doesn't like using much makeup either, as you also can see. But I think that is very cool, for an artist / celebrity not to focus on appearance, but rather on their music and artistry.

I think Aurora does focus on her appearance, and I don't mean that in a bad way or that she's OVERLY concerned with appearance, but she clearly has a very particular sense of style and I've read she was interested in like "ancient clothes" as a kid, and got made fun of for dressing oddly. She may not be interested in wearing much makeup or dying her hair or things like that but I think it would be wrong to say that she doesn't really care about her look. Her hairstyles and clothes are pretty iconic and I think her style fits well with her music. I think it's just so common and ingrained in society that women are supposed to wear makeup and look a certain way that women who don't follow those specific guidelines are said to not really care.

If you want to know who Aurora is, check out the show called Haik. It’s a Norwegian show (subtitled) that puts her in unknown situations/surprises and you get a glimpse of her. There is another mini doc from when she was younger and then another one (Once Aurora) just before she released Step 1. That doc costs money but you see what she stands for when it comes to her music.

Aurora has two sisters, one is a makeup artist and does her makeup, and the other is a fashion/clothing designer and creates all of the customs/dress for her.
There a few of her first songs two of them are "In Boxes" and "Awakening" you should react to them, they are so great, but so is all of her work.

Oh, oh...when this video popped up, I was ecstatic. I knew you two would be thrilled to the core, as I was the first time I saw it. This was almost as good as me experiencing the video for the first time! (As I recall, I actually squeaked when she kissed her dancer). :) In fact, this is the first time I have added a reaction video to my Aurora folder because it's so good. Yes, to everything you said and felt! And, btw, love your pink vase in the background.
To me, her videos are just one more way to show how freaking talented she is as an artist. The words, the music, the dancing, the choreography, the clothes, the video directing. She has said in interviews that she knows exactly what she wants in a performance, and she is not satisfied...until she is. And we get to be transformed by the end result! Okay, this video made me hit the subscribe button. :)
Might I suggest The Seed official video as another with an incredible message and visually amazing presentation. Aaaaaaand - the Apple Tree official video. Her dancers are back in that one. You might want to have the lyrics handy for Apple Tree because it is fast, and can be a bit startling until you know what she is depicting visually. The Seed is beautifully self-evident. Here are Aurora's words about Apple Tree:
"During a Step 2 listening party and Q&A held on June 13, 2019, AURORA gave insights on the production of the song. She confirmed that the beat of the track was influenced by Brazilian’s Olodum, which she came in contact when she first went to Salvador in 2017. There’s also hip-hop influences because she “felt it deserved a very alive and bad-ass groove”.[1]
On the music video's description Aurora said: “Apple Tree is about the potential that hides in all of us. We can all save the world if we put our minds to it. The world won’t listen to scientific proof that the world is dying, so maybe it will listen to the dreamers, the children. In a bleeding world the power of the individual is our only hope. Aurora also indicated in another interview that she actually did draw blood on herself during that production. It was quite vigorous and she put everything into it...as she always does! This is one of my favourite songs of Aurora's, but I can only rarely watch it because it is so purely, unadulteratedly wholesome and uplifting, that it makes me cry. Like, dancing with joyous abandon like that? With like, that verve and reckless optimism? Cannot relate, want it so bad it like physically hurts to see it being experienced. But I still love it so, so much.

If you prefer videos you should check for "Apple Tree" (bloody) or "The Seed". And if you want to cry a lot (yes, crying), you should check out the Nidarosdomen Concert Versions of "Through the eyes of a child", "Murder Song", "Lucky" and "It happened quiet". But to be honest, it doesn't matter, Aurora Songs have all a high level of quality. :-) I love your reactions.
She is naturally light blonde, so her eyebrows are very light and thin, and hard to see. They are not bleached. If you see some pictures of her as a child, you will see this.
@@egiljohnsen6145 I could be wrong, but I think I read it before, but I can't remember where it was. The fact is, that on a lot of pictures you can clearly see her eyebrows, but it could be the light, or even the season. But, it doesn't matter, they are just eyebrows. :-)

CZcams recommended me your channel, and honestly both of you are adorable and beautiful people. I'm also a massive Aurora fan and I love that you two loved the guy with the beard in the video.... I'm also a "manly" looking type of guy with a beard (I am ex-Army, was in heavy metal bands, and did construction work for years so I did all the "manly" stuff as well) and I revel in my masculine beauty. But at the same time I also adore feminine beauty and see love as love no matter who shares it. I'm also a HUGE animal lover. Likewise I am deeply moved by the lyrics regarding hunting for empathy especially in these times when I hear such cruelty by people who put profit above human life during this pandemic. There's nothing I don't like about this song or this video. It's so amazing. I've seen this video many dozens of times and I still get goosebumps every time I see it.
