when i was a youngster in the seventies, ohio players came out with this on the radio along with the song fire, i was instantly jamming in my room with my nfl curtains, bedspread, sheets, and pillow case room with my lil hi fi one-piece stereo/turntable/eight track console, the original is actually a slower tempo than this version, love both versions, i like this one because it is a faster tempo along with the guitar feedback to start the song, anthony singing in a muffed distant microphone, which is really cool, the guitar riff isn't actually the same as the original, i like the original guitar riff better because the guitarist does more wrist roll strumming with his pick hand vs a more choppier picking/strumming that rhcp guitarist does, but overall, i love both nuances and dynamics each band gives to the song. to me,,, it's the same song, but they are two totally different songs because of the different lyrics, nuances, and dynamics that are presented. both versions are great in their own personal stamped way. roller coaster, of love, say what?? yeeeeaaaah,,.

The strongest word used by any character is "goddamn", used 3 (or 4, depending on who is asked) times in the movie. Even though "goddamn" is more offensive than "damn" on its own (to the point of being occasionally removed from radio airplay of certain songs), it still can be said multiple times in a PG-13-rated movie.
