      1-travelling is not a luxury now a days, anyone can go once or twice a year
      2- IAS has dominance in majority of department
      3- you are just another govt officer in India but if you are an IAS respect automatically comes
      4- most people are not aware about IFS, like try explaining this to a rural person, but if you say collector he might even salute you
      5- stay close to family, as majority of people nowadays in civil services are from middle class and their parents might find it difficult to adjust in other countries
      6- spouses job
      7- lack of servants, in India you do not have to worry about your raising your kid and regular work household things
      8- lack of black money
      9- lack of power visibility
      10- lack of information on this topic and service

    • @sumitmeena8732
      @sumitmeena8732 Před 3 lety

      It takes 3-4 years for IFS (A) officer to become Under Secretary and usually 16-18 years for an IFS(B) officer to become Under Secretary (after 2 promotions). But if you clear departmental exam for promotiom to Section Officer in 1st attempt (after 5 years of service), you can become Under Secretary after 13 years of your Service in IFS(B).
      So that's 9-10 years of gap between both the services. Later on, all the perks, ranks, salaries etc. are same for both.

Just tell her to focus on her schooling rest don't let her be demotivated withing these years. It takes hell lot of hard work dedication please let her be obedient and dedicated towards studies. Once she chooses her stream after 10th,tell her to start studying for Upsc everythng is available on upsc official website. Then after 12th, comes the graduation,in that phase tell her to be more tightened with her preparations of upsc and then finally after graduation she's eligible to compete the exam. Graduation is the maximum eligiblity. After grad she can give exam and never let her down.Let her dream for IFS only!!!! She'll surely achieve it

    Sir my father is retired from army from post of Havaldar.
    Can I take them with me. Is government going to provide health expenses.
    As I want them to see the world.
    Also how many rooms are generally available for a third secretary as accommodation.

    • @RaghukulIAS
      @RaghukulIAS  Před 4 lety +2

      Yes you can take him, in case of pensioners health is not covered, but it shouldn't be an issue as now many private players are providing it and in government there are always some way around. Secondly house and number of rooms depend upon location like in Russia it could be a bungalow whereas in USA living in city centre it could be just a 3 bhk flat whose rent could be more than the bungalow
