The 5.11 Apex pant functions great in tactical situations, as well as casual events and covert operations. The Flextac fabric is super comfortable. amzn.to/1S7b7V0
Maybe I subconsciencely (sp?) remembered watching this review. I was in Gander Mountain today and saw these pants. I grabbed a pair for the heck of it and headed to the dressing room. Holy cow! It was love when I pulled them on, and I'm being serious. I was not leaving without those pants. I will field test them this weekend on a mountain hike. I think I have a new favorite.
I have 5.11 Stryke pants in TDU green and black, they are great. These Apex pants look better for casual wear, but one thing I really like about the Stryke pants are the frontal pockets; I can carry my flashlight there without a pocket clip and easily reach it. Also, the thigh pockets have a pen slot.
Got my pair in black today and i like them alooot, i got the stryke ones for duty and those extra front pockets are very handy, for pens and flashlight you absolutly right!
I think if they ran just one front pocket on the left, it would be the perfect pair of pants. I have both pairs and I feel like they are better at different things. I prefer the strike more but I wish I could get the strike features in an Apex pants.
Thank you for taking the time to make this review video. I was on the fence between the Ridgeline and the Apex and your 2 videos explained everything and more than the internet had to offer, and ultimately decided to order the Apex series. Bravo job, thank you again for your time and effort!
They are pretty nice. They just tend to run slightly short as compared to other brands. Whereas the Tru-Specs tend to run long, I think partially because they have a longer drop from the waist to crotch.
Thank you that is a nice review just wandering will hold to a iwb holster or pocket holster in the front pockets or leg pocket. Will it print if on the front or side. Thanks again
I wish they weren't so expensive! I like the fit though, I got a pair of Vertx that have the low profile cargo pocket but they're so baggy. I need something I can wear from the office to the job site. I'll check these out though.
These look pretty nice. I have a pair of taclite pros I wear for work but looking for something less cop like. These look like they fit the bill. How's the breathability compared to taclite pros?
@SnareMan hopefully you still monitor this. Would you recommend getting a size larger in the waist? I've noticed pants like this, which all seem to model a design originated by Kuhl, are often snug around the pockets between the waistband and the groin which makes EDC pocket stuff kind of annoying. I actually sold all my Kuhls for that reason.
They can fit wwaaaaaaaay too baggy on the legs (the waist is good and stretchy), and they look far from covert (even the "secret" pocket is clearly visible). Otherwise, good product.
I don't feel like they are baggy on me at all. They seem just about right. And I suppose covert depends on who is looking at them. Someone who knows tactical pants might recognize them but the average public I bet not so much
I'm not even wearing pants, pants. Best ever. Extremely comfortable.

Yea, they are pretty nice. :-)
You definitely have some of the best reviews on youtube man!
Thanks!!

+REVIGOR Yea, I like the utility of the front pockets as well, but I think the lack of them on these pants makes them look less overt.

Sold! Thanks for the thorough review.
+Adriano Pezzella Glad you liked it!

Glad you found them helpful! They are both great pants, but I think the Apex are the better choice. Thanks for watching.
Thanks brother. Keep up the great vids.
+Brutus Smith No problem. Thanks.
Awesome Informative Review Sir!~
Thank you for the "Block-of-Instruction".
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Another great clothing review. Thanks.
+Hesperus You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
These look like a great alternative to the tac lite pro version. Thanks
+onpoint1977 They are far more comfortable than the TacLites
My favorite pants so far are the Tru Spec Delta. We are about the same size. I ordered a pair of 32 30. Hope I like them as much as the Deltas.
They are pretty nice. They just tend to run slightly short as compared to other brands. Whereas the Tru-Specs tend to run long, I think partially because they have a longer drop from the waist to crotch.
@@SnareMan I agree with you on the tru spec ascent. An inch or so too long. The deltas run a little short...just right for me.

The pockets are reenforced. There is extra padding on the inside of the notch.
mine shrunk 2" vertically and at the waist after 1 washing cycle in COLD on delicate and air dried!

+Adam Kreuz Yea, I agree - they aren't cheap.
Good review only think is if you had other colors why not show them as well!

+Michael Hoellwarth These are much lighter and more breathable than the Taclites.

Yup. Still here. 🙂. I can usually get 5.11s in my normal size and they are fine
what is country of origin of this pant ?, please!
Could anyone on here advise if the Apex is similar in fit to the Stryke pant?
Thanks folks!
Not really
For ordering how's the sizing? Already found out both Vertx and LAPG tactical pants tend to run small. Thanks.
+Brutus Smith I wear my normal 32x30 in these. 33x30 in Vertx. 34x30 in LAPG.
I my self am 34 inside leg and 36 or 38 waist. Do they come in these sizes for me.
I assume so, but you could just check the 5.11 website and find out
Good video. Link of for the ceramic razor blade.
+Center Mass Thanks. This is the one I have. amzn.to/1WNSt3l

Bernie Sanders thinks you should have to buy all of CZcams a pair!
+rezdog187 I can't even get 5.11 to buy me a pair.
+rezdog187 In response to Bernie - how much of the money that I worked hard for are the people who aren't working entitled to?
+SnareMan not a single penny! Long live the Republic. Seriously he is a nut job
+SnareMan all kidding aside how do these compare to the LA police gear
+rezdog187 They are nicer, but they ought to be for $60 more
You lost me at 80 bucks.
+mozzberg CZcams will do that to you.
If you try these on, you will happily hand over a $100 bill.
