Another small consideration: those are 1v1 testing BUT we have tested group fights, too. More will be included when I will review Pakal as well. I have CLEARLY stated in the final considerations that Guan+CJ is solid in group fights, while Alex+CJ, even having great results in 1v1, is not going to help you a lot on a real fight scenario. Guan+CJ, lacking defense and health, need to be backed up by solid defensive equipment (which you can find at the end of the video). Pick all the information you need and make sure to listen to the final considerations, because if there is something that I underline always on this channel is never to make assumptions based on single reports. Let’s always try to deduct the general picture, which can even be different from what I presented you. Cheers and have a great day

One more personal opinion: Guan+CJ is also faster than Guan+Leo, which compensates a little bit for not being tanky as Leo. Maybe he will not be Osiris meta, who knows, but I predict CJ will be all over in KvK. And CJ needs to be maxed, he can't be used at 5511 (maybe you can start using him at 5155), while Leonidas is already very usable at 5511. But very slow. There is always a downside, don't think that there is a perfect commander/combo, because there ISN'T! :) enjoy the vid
@@jacktan1646 Yes, no reason not to max him just because this video replaced him with alex. Moreover, if you are going back to kvk2. Even then you'll need to max guan before you can even get CJ. 1 at a time brother. If you want to wait for kvk2 alex wheel then that's up to you. It'll be halfway through kvk thou if i remember correctly.

With all due respect, I feel the video was a little hastily made as I feel you neglected some details.
1. I'm surprised you didn't mention that CJ's AoE is a 180 degree fan, not the usual 130 degree fan. I would have thought that it was a big deal.
2. All the tests are 1v1 where CJ in fact excels in because he only cuts one instance of skill damage at most once every 3 seconds. In a murderball, he would get very little value out of his skill damage reduction because he is bombarded by skill damage and would only cut one instance in half every 3 seconds. That one instance could be a 200 damage factor Cyrus AoE, or a 2000 damage factor Guan AoE.
3. Richard is strong in a 1v1 setting because of his healing, which in your report as you can see, gave him an extra 100k troops by the end of the battle, as well as Richard Alex not dishing out the skill damage for CJ to mitigate and deal back to the opponent. It is not because Guan/CJ is weak in 1v1. When in a 1v1 duel with any commander that does significant healing, you need to overcome that healing with a significant amount of DPS. Alex CJ wins Richard because Alex cuts that healing factor.
These are my humble opinions but I don't think you can draw the conclusion that Guan CJ will be amazing in the open field based on these 1v1 tests.
I watched all the other content creator’s videos on CJ. Yours is the only one that matters. Thank you for everything you do.
Edit: Richard/Alex is arguably the best 1v1 combo in the game. Alex/anything beats it, but it still wins most fights.

So I had planned on doing Guan Leo, Alex CJ, Trajan Harald, Rams YSG, and Salad William coming up in a few weeks. Based on your feedback, if I take Guan CJ then what of Alex and Leo do you think? Guess I could do Alex Harald and put Aeth with Trajan? Or is Alex Leo even a thing?

I’m tired of these content creators shitting on Richard. He’s a great commander and I urge you guys to use it in open field. If he has the right equipment and the right talents he’s a monster and a viable option for a top 5 march commander. Specially if you’re an infantry player.

I’m a little curious as to what if CJ’s expertise triggered in a circle shaped area? The size similar to theodora’s would be enough I think, His skill looks very similar to axe’s counter helix in dota, imagine a cm cj march just running around in the middle of the open field and just keeps proccing his expertise, that would be so cool to see
You can clearly see on the graphs when the 30% troop remaining skill kicks in which is why he wins… does this reflect real on field performance?

Dunno if CJ worth to max out in first place. I think you can still go with Leo 5511 and work in other marches. CJ it would be a micro optimazation. The only thing that makes me want to invest in CJ is his march speed. But lets see the upcoming results.

Unless you are a big whale rallier I don’t think Pakal is all that good

Can we get an analysis on Wu Zetian in this skill damage meta? I get Zenobia/YSS/Theo are the go to garrison commanders. But does Wu Zetian hold up versus the heavy skill damage rally commanders? And make sure to have a back up in the garrison for when they use Attila/Takeda? I'd love to see that.

Hello, Cheok is more of a “sidegrade” to Leo. I believe that he has a great potential. I don’t have Leo and I will personally go for Cheok. If you want to see how the meta evolves, you can try and wait another couple weeks or so
guan cheok attack will be increasing and super strong man but u need some equipment health and deff for him bcouse lack .

6:13 You are wrong, yes but you're probably not far off. The camera of this game distorts areas shown, so you would need to put this into perspective. If you catch the same picture but Guan Yu fighting 180° around, the angle will be bigger.
Yes, I knew that. That's why I mentioned the camera angle. 180° opposite direction results to be a 137° AOE. The AOE is probably 135° like I estimated before measuring it

Great content as always. I think that Guan/CJ is more of a sidegrade from Guan/Leo rather than an upgrade when it comes to open field, but CJ is certainly a worthwhile investment. I might actually go Alex/CJ instead of my original plan to go with Alex/Harald.
