Sika makes a great line of concrete products. I repaired a leaking foundation crack 9 years ago. Still holding up to the Canadian weather after all these years.
I had a spalled section in my garage floor caused by rebar that was close to the surface - I mixed up some thin-set that I had left over from some tile work, and filled the hole with it. 3 years later, still in place and very solid.
These r great videos for homeowners
Thank you very informative.
Excellent! Thank you.
I love the background music in this video where did you get it?
Good video thank you for the information where can I buy one
I’m going to try this
Nice easy fix. Thank you.
Ouah........... cool...........👍👍🤔😃
Thanks man
Show what the final dried result looks like.
It already popped
Air works great for cleaning the hole. Spray bottle to.
That's cool. Now I just wish I had 20 of those kits or one giant one.
just buy a bag of rapid set mortar mix. probably cheaper than the product in the video.
I see maintenance guys filling in holes on the sides of warehouse concrete slabs. But, with the forklifts going the slabs move slightly with the weight so they keep having to do it because the movement breaks the patches.
Will it last a Canadian winter freeze and thaw?
Bottom of cracked big hole in cement walk has dirt at bottom - what do I used to fix that before I patch the thing?
can I used if there is dirt under the broken piece of cement I removed
Leaf blower for cleaning crack?
What color is it when it dries?
"My hole's clean. There's not any dust in there. The only thing is it's dry".
That's what she said.
"that is looking pretty good, my hole is clean" :D
I've tried mortar mix. I've tried sand mix. I've even sifted gravel out of high strength concrete. If it's on a fault line it will not stay. The only solution is to saw the damaged area out. Then drill a few holes in the sides kinda shallow. Stuff in some chicken wire. Now repatch it. It'll stay this time. Had to do that a few places at my house before it was permanent & didn't chip out.
Maybe we should hook up

The information is helpful. Thank you! But the music before the video and during is really stressful.
just moved into a new condo with the blacony concrete chipped and a few large chunks missing. wonder if this method would wor. Maintenance and the Manager dgaf lol
great vid i'm trying to patch a hole in my driveway about that size, there's a piece of blue plastic underneath, not sure if some kind of guard, under that the hole looks kind of deep. any recommendations? How do I properly dispose of excess concrete? Thanks
Throw the excess concrete over the neighbors fence and call it a day.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 😂
Did you ever patch up your driveway? Where did you dispose of the excess?
So can you link the product
What is the product called?
60 bucks later. Reminds me of microwave popcorn bags.
I’m trying to fix a giant hole in my patio but the issue is under it is nothing but dirt. I can’t exactly clean it out. Will the patch still hold fine?
Need rocks bigger chunks of stuff above the dirt
What if the repair area is at the corner, how do you keep it from pouring out?
@Jennifer Defoor I ended up doing the same, it worked out!
Frame it
Thank you. Can confirm framing worked for me.
Hydraulic cement patch, mix it stiff and wear latex gloves and with the stiff mix shove it into cracks
His hole is clean!😂😂😂😂
Once the rot and salt is in the concrete, it's over. Patch it a hundred times , the rot will spread untill the cement is back to power and stone.
who sell this, i think it???
Question:
My garage foundation has a crack which is allowing ground water to push up and into my garage. What’s the best way to fix this?
Hydraulic cement, that's what you use to stop water leaks. However it could be a larger issue of improper drainage on your property
ThatOntarioFarmer thanks for the info.
I’m also will be adding a French drain to the two accessible sides which is not capped over with cement.
I forgot to mention, this is a detached garage from the house with a down slope that is allowing water to flow from the back of the garage then around toward the house. I have lots of work to do!
I wish my hole was clean
My hole is clean..😮i bet it is
or just get a scoop of portland mix it with some water and the debris you dusted away and save the world from another plastic bag save yourself a bunch of money too
So... maybe one that cures out to be the same color?
this product is no longer available anywhere
Want to make it right? Step 1: Reduce the volume on your intro music.
😂😂😂
It's called a volume button
All that and didn't even show end result
So it was just a Sika commercial.
To be fair, Sika makes FANTASTIC products. We had to put in a new street side mailbox and their post hole mixture is still holding strong.
stupid too loud....
Nice commercial. Won’t show this after it dries because it looks like shit.
Terrible
I’ve never seen anyone more arrogant than that Holmes guy. He gives Canadians a bad name.
Lets see your repair video........
Canadians had a bad name before Holmes.
