I have a similar problem on my concrete driveway. I like to fill the uneven parts of the concrete surface with mortar mix, then apply a thin layer of concrete resurfacer, which flows like liquid. I think the thin layer of resurfacer may act as holding agent for the patch work with mortar mix right below. Is that a good idea?
Interesting. Can you just use watered down school glue instead of a bonding agent?
