Griffith Park Observatory Trail Hiking Tour

One of my favorite trails in Los Angeles is the West Observatory Trail at Griffith Park. Starting on Los Feliz Blvd and leading up to the famous Griffith Observatory (which you've probably seen in La La Land or Charlie's Angels 2), this is a reasonable 2-3 mile hike and a great way to slip a bit of nature into a busy day in LA. On this trail you can expect to see the Hollywood Sign in the distance, an amazing panoramic view of the city, and sometimes even a celeb or two (I saw some this time)!
This day I decided to go early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The morning clouds had yet to burn off and the overcast sky made it a much more enjoyable hike than other times that I've gone in the blazing sun. Unfortunately, this meant the observatory and roof deck were not open yet so I'll just have to make another trip in the future to show you what it looks like inside!
Near Los Feliz Blvd is also where the Fern Dell Nature Trial is located and I would highly recommend taking stroll through there if you really want a scenic route! Check out my walking tour through the Fern Dell Nature Trail here:
