@@smileyface3956 as in slavonia, i live in a village of around 4k people and everyone knows everyone, if you are younger they will know you by your parents or grandparents. @OAT351 Unfortunately you can't afford to be that nice in a big city. Some people literally can steal boxes that are delivered in your front porch...
I would like to thank you for coming to our small community to do this, although I was only a freshman in highschool and didn’t get to attend I heard a lot of stories and this town is amazing! James was actually my boss for 3 years and everyone in this video is someone who I am close with him some form! I only lived there throughout my highschool years and everyone was more than welcoming and I became a big influence in the short time i was there.
Mission accomplished. Just checked the 2023 town rankings on Google and Mankato is no longer on it. No doubt thanks to the good people at Yes Theory. In all seriousness, thanks to the entire "Yes Theory" content creation team for putting out such high quality positive energy for the rest of the world to consume. Helena Acevedo it’s fun trust
Helena Acevedo soooooo many people wanna love in LA don’t take it for granted.
@Helena Acevedo There are perks to growing up in a small town but I kind of hate it. Words spreads too fast, there is a lot of drama, no industry, and you don't have many options for friends. For example I'm a drummer and guitarist, but there are literally two other people in the school that can play anything (other than in the school band) and we don't like the same music
Nate Urban yeah, that’s one caveat. Not a lot of diversity in there so if you don’t like some people then you’re fucked. But a smaller community can also mean more personal relations and a stronger sense of brotherhood, or am I wrong?
I'm sure y'all will never see this but i just wanted to comment and let you guys know this video single handedly changed my perspective on what it means to live a fulfilling life. I watched this when it was first posted and think about it weekly, especially the clip with the teacher who moved away and came back because she realized she could make a much greater impact in a small community. I grew up in a smaller town and never felt like I fit in, so I moved away to the city never expecting to look back. Now I've been here for a decade and a lot of my time is spent feeling like a cog in the machine and reminiscing on the place I came from.
This video and its concept as a whole is so incrediblely beautiful and human and I really feel grateful to have been witness to it.
So thank you so much. And if my family and I ever get to follow our dreams and move out to a little farm in the middle of nowhere I will continue to think of this video and be thankful for it ❤

I don't feel like that's a universal attitude in Kansas. Although I would say things have improved in the last 30 years. Having grown up near Mankato I would say the people from there tend to be more friendly and open. Nearby Scandia is also very much like that. I was born and raised near Los Angeles, so definitely a VERY highly populated area. I've driven across the country and through the Midwest several times now, and have been to some extremely small towns with populations under 1000. Never before have I had such genuine and friendly interactions with complete strangers... Everyone knows everyone, and they are all willing to drop everything to help someone they've only just met, the hospitality is unmatched, they make you feel like you belong.
A few years ago, my boyfriend's uncle decided to make the big move from Fresno, CA to a very small town in southern Kansas, and we decided to travel with him. We arrived late at night, and were shocked that the only gas station in town had two ancient pumps and was closed until morning. There was only one small family market for food, and one church. It was my first time being somewhere that isolated, so it was quite a shock. First thing in the morning, we were unloading the moving truck, and I about had a mini heart attack when I turned around to see that the local mailman had followed me into the garage looking to welcome us all to town! He knew absolutely everyone and treated us like we'd been there forever!

Many of us frequently hear about sex where the man finishes, the woman doesn’t because the man doesn’t really try to help her, she says “it’s okay” (when it probably isn’t) and he just rolls over to sleep like it’s no big deal.
Last night, I received a small taste of what that must feel like for the millions (and probably billions) of women who have experienced that at some point in their life.
My girlfriend (F28) and I (M30) have been together for over a year. Sex has always been amazing where she used to finish regularly. However recently, she went on antidepressants which have made finding her orgasm a real challenge. We’ve gone weeks where we frequently have sex where I’m the only one that finishes (though we are in love, I would imagine that was probably irritating). When it does happen for her, we feel like popping a celebratory bottle of champagne. And fortunately, after a lot of experimentation of what works and what doesn’t in our new normal, she is starting to come more regularly.
Anyway, last night she turned to me and said she wanted to have sex. After a massage, and a mix of oral, fingering and using vibrators, she had an intense finish. We cuddled for a bit as she came down, and then she got up and said “I’m gonna go to the bathroom, I’ll be back” and winked at me.
Now here I was thinking “ah yes, my turn”, but then she comes back in the room, kisses me and says “goodnight darling”. The lights go off.
First thing that runs through my mind is “what the hell!” and felt myself becoming annoyed and resentful that I didn’t get to finish. I asked myself “should I bring this up?” “Why doesn’t she care about this?” and reams of other questions. I decided to shelve it and go to sleep.
Even though I’m a tad annoyed still, the morning has brought some helpful reflections, some of which I knew already and some which were new:
Particularly if you’re with a partner for awhile, finishing is not a scoreboard. You’re in the sack with them because you enjoy intimacy with them. Coming is not the final goal nor is it something you’re entitled to. This comment I’m aiming particularly at men and not at women since I’m pretty sure most women already get this. And also because...
Holy shit, so many women in the world must be frustrated. They really take the whole “not coming because your partner doesn’t try to help you” and it happening so regularly on the chin like champs. I wish I could collectively upvote all the women on reddit on that basis alone.
I realise I’m speaking from a position of privilege as a man on this one, so sorry if I get this wrong. I can’t know the dynamics of everyone’s relationships or sex lives. But if you’re having unsatisfying sex, you need to speak up. It’s not okay to act like it’s okay. If I sat here pissed off about not getting off one time, I can’t imagine having a sex life where my partner doesn’t make an effort and me not telling them about it. Most people want their partners to finish, some because they truly want their partners to enjoy it, others for their own ego. But most people are accepting of feedback, particularly if it’s to help you come.
That said...Guys, we gotta do better. I’m not speaking to all of us here, but there’s a reason why they’re so many articles online from women asking or advising the best way to broach conversations with their partners about being unsatisfied with sex. Don’t assume what works on one women will work on another. And though I’m probably guilty of this, always look for ways to keep things fresh in the bedroom. Routine is the harbinger of staleness and boredom. Finally, when it doubt, just ask her. The strongest thing you can do is get out of the way of your own ego, be a bit vulnerable, and ask her what works for her and what doesn’t.

Love at the end, saying it is what you make it, where you are & your environment. I have traveled a lot, always drawn to bigger towns (from small-medium place in the Midwest).
Have seen so many who were bored in a huge city I made my home for the last 12 years. There with every opportunity, they would leave after 2 years (base contract one place I worked) saying there wasn't anything to do, probably to claim that to others wherever they go to be bored next.
Everywhere is what you make of it.
It’s hilarious how everyone had a connection that conveniently helped with the whole process LOL
im pretty sure the whole town was like "we should do this more often"
hahaha correct
Same here.. for sure they did.
Nah, I bet they didn’t say that, hope they will never though
@@qqwee9014 why?
@@bdxa9611 If the town keeps partying QQWEE will be the #1 most boring person in the world. I’m pretty sure that’s a title no one wants.

thanks to your great humor.
This made me cry.... You showed the heart of Kansas, the heart of America, and the hearts of the these wonderful people. You showed the love that is shared in the small town life and the acceptance that I have known for a long time. This just solidifies that no matter where I go I will always be home in a small town. I cannot wait to move back to one in the near future and start my family there, my beautiful far away town.
