mine alarm went off, ive reset the switches and it stays on. What are some of the easy things i can check before i call the local service guy and get charged out the ass?
Hail storm put hole through top taking out red alarm light. Fixed the light but now in the run position I get a weak alarm fast beep and the light is barley lit all the time. Test function works like it should but have some sort of back feed???? I replaced the toggle for those test/mute function no fix
Thanks for the videos. Question though. What happens if the Manual/Test switch is left on Test? My alarm went off and I noticed this switch was set to test. Might that have caused the alarm issue?
How long does it take to fill a 1500 gallon tank under normal use in order to raise the low level alarm on the bio filter side enough to silence the alarm? Or how many gallons do I need in my tank before the level hits the baffle? Orenco tank
Don’t know a lot about orenco but the average gallons per person is 50-70 per day so take how many people if it’s empty. The times the number of people by 60 middle of the road and you will come up with how many days it will take to fill it up.
Call the office Ruben will be able to talk you through it you will probably need to pump the pump tank only again unfortunately if you do need a new pump.
@@IronHorse2007 on a aerobic septic a pump discharges the water in most applications. You are cleaning it to remove solids not water. Aerobic systems are sometimes fiberglass so it’s important they have weight added to them so they don’t float out of the ground is one reason. also the alarm switch needs back pressure to engage the switch properly or the alarm will go off endlessly until that tank has water in it. since it is the second tank depending on how many people that could be days so we fill the aerobic unit so this doesn’t happen.
Good video..: Question. My alarm goes off after a few days. I go out and look. The breaker has been tripped. I reset the breaker which is a GFCI breaker in the electrical box. The pump comes on and alarm turns off, pump does it's job. Can the GFCI breaker be weak and tripping from a past old pump? It has been tripped many times. I had the float switch replaced thinking that was the problem but still tripping. Also does it have to have a GFCI breaker? Can I replace it with a regular 20 amp breaker? Thanks for any help.
Thats what I was thinking. So even it being in the breaker box is best to get rid of it? I tried talking to my septic tank man on phone and he thought I was refering to a GFCI receptacle. Thanks again.
Howdy Doody yes on 20 should do it as the master the control panel will have others but the max at any one time should be 17 amps with a rotary vane on it unless it’s a 3/4 hp.
Wholesale Septic Supply Thanks again...that's what it was a bad GFCI breaker. Hasn't tripped in a week. Wish I had checked that first. Simple things first.
I have this problem except the alarm is low pitch. If I hit the test button, its loud. Oddly enough, the red light was on and the alarm was loud before I got it pumped. Now, its just a low pitch sound but no red light. If I hit test, its loud again. If I put the switch to normal, its just thie low pitch. What is that about?
Sign of a bad float switch or the air alarm switch that the easy one to diagnose. Disconnect the air switch completely from the alarm. If it’s still low chirping then it’s your alarm float if it goes away it the air switch we will do a video on it.
One of our toilets ran all night and the alarm started going off. We've silenced the alarm, but the red light is still on. I've tried turning the system off for several minutes, but the red light and alarm came back on when I turned it back on. Any ideas what to do to fix it? I hate to call the septic company for something simple.
The guy that installed our system when our home was built Jan 2022 can't figure out why the alarm keeps going off. It has went long as 3 months when we first moved in. It now will go off just weeks after he comes and services it. Here now its gone off 3 days after he has left. Luckily it's under warnity until Jan 2024 but I'm tired of him coming out so often. He dud say he is not real familiar with the electronic part of the system. He has been out with a hose and done a two full system cleans on it. We only have 3 people in the house he has some with 6 people w no issues. He said he may try putting a new filter on it. I need help figuring it out. Thanks
Just bought a house and noticed the light looks like it’s dimly lit all the time. Is this normal or is it needing attention? When I test it, it does light up and the alarm sounds.
@@ev6625 No it is not normal... Mine is doing the same right now after a hail hit took out a light. In the run position do you get the alarm sound as well only softer and faster?
Saved me a service call. Thanks!
Great info 👍 just had it pumped and alarm went off... From air pressure switch.... Just what I needed to know!
Vivid commentary! thank you

It possibly could but something internally with the switch would have to be messed up. If nothing else was wrong then it was the switch.

@@wholesalesepticsupply9801 took two of us about three weeks in case others want to know. Thanks
Not sure how long but we notice our light on yesterday no noise ..just had it pumped out year ago in july looks full.
So the pump tank is full. If that is the case then the pump is out possibly.

I'm just seeing this yes that's what it was thanks 😊
Dumb question. Why do you put water back in when you called to have it emptied?
