Oh my goodness, what a trip down memory lane. Love, love, love John Denver. Of the albums mentioned in this video, my favorite is Whose Garden Was This; however, all his albums are wonderful. I did the assignment and listened to Violets of Dawn, which I'd never heard before. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for taking me back to a time when music was actually music. I look forward to the next video in this series.
And with good reason. (hah!) The message in the chorus stills resounds with us: "The children and the flowers are my sisters and my brothers. Their laughter and their loveliness would clear a cloudy day." Wow.

There is also also the album "John Denver Sings" privately released in December 1966. Sadly it wasn't included but the original vinyl records are pretty rare because only 250 copies were made. I found some live recordings of the Mitchell Trio and Denver, Boise and Johnson on CZcams, and I really enjoy it.
When are you doing the next one??? I discovered your work today. I am of the same era. The only thing I wanted to be, other than a nurse, was a librarian. I worked in the library in high school and loved it. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
