    Most of the micro pc's have soldered storage and ram.
    The fact that you can upgrade this pc, catches my eye.

    By 5:14 I heard a sound due playing game. Was this sound comes from 3080 internal speakers or from external speakers? Regards.

    Hi, thank you for the video. I also use this model at work. Got it nearly a month ago. Pretty fast machine. However, I am constantly hearing a clicking sound coming out of the front lower side of the case. Any idea what makes that sound? Something to do with the power module?

    you think this works for editing videos in vegas pro? the i7 16 ram version?

      Vegas is one of the lighter edit suites. You should be okay. Though I would say go for a full size one, so you can add a graphics card and some extra storage at some point.

    What is its KWh consumption per day/year? I'm thinking of replacing an old intel tower purely because of the electricity cost.

      I would have to get a killawatt out haha. The PSU is only 65W so it really isn't going to use much power.

    i dunno much about mine but its a 10500t 6c 12t I have 16gb of ram i have replaced my desktop as if I'm fair on expectations for games and I'm no fps gammer on that note it works fine with the advantage of being portable af witch is the biggest selling point for me being I work from home and can work from anywhere in the world with decent internet connection so I do travel so its just better fit aswell as the power being much lower than a gaming PC

    I’m running a micro 5080 with a m.2 nvme to egpu adapter. I want to make use of the extra m2 space hower it requires soldering the additional m2 port.

      I'm pretty sure it's a normal socketed Intel CPU, so yes, you can take it out and reuse it.

    So i ended up with one of these being given to me... would it be good for the arcade cabinet I wanna make with it? I'm hoping to emulate up to ps2 if not 3

      You'd probably be good going up to PS2. I very much doubt it'll do the PS3 with no dedicated GPU. PS3 emulation is still pretty intense.

    hey man, when i plug the mini pc to the outlet the power button blinks. If I press that while blinking, it doesn't turn on. I have to wait for it to finish blinking before I could press again and turn it on, is that also the same for you?

      Yes, that's a Dell thing. It's running a hardware self test. Totally normal.

      Yes, there is a full NVME slot. The SSD that comes with it is pretty cheap. A proper one will be much faster

    Did you get the basic Dell support plan? Did you happen to upgrade the plan to pro, and, how much did it cost? If you got the support plan extended, how much did it cost? Thank you. I found out that the the 3080 I found has the basic plan, and it's still good until February of next year!

    Found a 3080 i5 attached to a 22"(?) matching monitor in an apartment dumpster to-day. Also found the matching charger! What is the max RAM it can support? What is the fastest CPU it can support? Want to see if it works! Thank you 🤓 a full length nvme? Great! 😁

      I love dumpster diving!! Check the service tag on the Dell support website for max RAM configs and things.

      @@Swallowfire I think the max RAM is 64GB (32 x 2). Problem is it's not booting properly. It tries to start normally, but goes to a blue screen saying windows didn't start properly, so it will auto restart. Restarts a couple times and then goes to a diagnostic function. Do I have to do a file back up before it can go into factory reset? Thank you 🤓

      Yes definitely back up every time. If in doubt, back up your data haha

    I am thinking about this model for a media player. It does not use much space.
    Anyone experience with 4k playback ? Can it do decent 4k playback with a higher bitrate ? And decent sound ?

      I don't know if there's an AMD version. Mine is an Intel i3 and I think it goes up to an i5 10500T.

    How is the fan noise ? Does it run hot ?

      Fan is barely audible, even under heavy load. The chassis gets warm, but it's only an i3 so I don't think it gets dangerously hot.

      They both have 35W TDPs so in theory, you should be okay with the i5 as well. The extra two cores should be useful!

      I would pick an M1 Mac Mini over this Dell for music production. Most music software is better on Mac than Windows.

      There's no space inside for a dedicated GPU sadly. You might be able to run a PCIE extender to an external power supply but that's a really janky solution haha

      You're not gonna be able to fit a GPU in this PC. It's too small. You'll need to move to a bigger PC. I have a video coming out tomorrow about a low profile card that will fit in the slightly larger SFF version of this PC, but the SSFF one in the video can't fit anything.

    No, the Dell is not "smaller" than a graphics card. The graphics card is longer, but the physical world is described in three dimensions, not one. No, RAM is not under the heatsink, it is under the fan. You should really know better. No, the SSD is not difficult to get out. Come on man, maybe hard to get out with one hand. Opening the screw cap of a bottle is hard with one hand.
