S5 PTR just shows that S4 was a bait and switch
the boss resummon is gonna be one of my favorite things. I literally have nearly a whole storage tab of living steel

In typical Blizzard fashion they take 2 steps forward with season 4 then take 20 steps back with season 5. Reminds me season 0 leading into season 1 when they completely fucked the game and everyone quit.
Yep. Nerfed everything and yet the meta was still like Pre-Season but worse. I left season 1 half way because of the long grind with weaker characters.
Patch 1.0 made me quit. Came back for season 4.

There’s about 70474729 core skills that need to be buffed and scale better. How are “core” which are by name alone core, useless.

What we need for buff bar is be able to have important buffs of our choosing be leftmost justified on the bar while the irrelevant buffs are rightmost justified

Rob, you must understand that if the balance between the classes is broke and you change the dynamics of the reward system for pits or the seasonal hoard to compensate for speed clearing or higher tier clearing then there will be a huge quality of life difference from someone playing a barb versus playing a Druid, Sorc or whatever class is behind. That would be massively unfair. In a perfect world it would be great to get better reward for fasted clears or higher tier runs if things are equal but things are far from equal. It all starts with getting the class balances fixed, we can’t have classes lagging behind over a year after the release of D4.

They should upgrade the stash thing, add some more space and fix the stacking items why the hell 50 is limit ? It should be very easy thing to do with little effort and no bug issues which would make many people happy. Hard to understand why they are not picking up this topic...
They need to make all these stupid mats go in the tab, not our stash
So they actually addressed this in one of the livestreams way back before s1 or s2. Adding more stash space is actually very dificult for them due to the underlying way it is implemented.
Its so much more dificult to add stash space that they are actively figuring out ways to make you not need stash space.
Just because something looks easy to do, doesn't mean it does.
I really hope tempering/masterworking isn't so F'n bad next season. I literally get angry when I finally get that good piece of gear to drop now because I know what comes next. lol
Leader board on everything: Leveling to 100 too! Let players compete wherever they want to.
Not having the most up to date snapshot of my character on the PTR made me log out immediately.
Plz do a good balance... More for sorcs, druids, and necros!!!
And improve other events plz... More crazy stuff for helltide and legion events (like Butchers, Varshans, duriels, etc)

What if instead of random drops at the end you get an item that upgrades an affix of your choosing to a GA?
Because there is no way this is going to be a better way to get gear than helltide, so don't compete with that. This would be something that would be worth the grind
That sounds too easy tbh. I think getting a material to GA a stat is great, but making it random should be the play. Just leave the weighting BS out of it if they do do that. Similar to a fracture orb from POE

BLIZZARD: can you fix the in-game trade channel? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes re-setting it works, sometimes it doesn't. Something so simple should be an easy fix. Season 4 was about Loot Re-born. It would be nice to enable that theme by making the in-game trade channel work. I shouldn't have to rely on third-party trade sites.

Balancing is not done by the season team and we don't know what the season mechanic will be.
Infernal hordes is a persistent mode and not season exclusive.
Nerf the absolute shit out of Barb until it makes Rob rage quit
Hear me out, how about a proper hoarde mode where the monsters you fight continuously hassle you, still in waves, but the waves are levelled and once a wave is beaten it auto starts the next wave.
And the wave cap is set to something ridiculous like 500 or a 1000, and you keep fighting until you get wiped out, and only then you get your rewards.
Every 10, 15 or 20 levels they could spawn a boss in, and when you beat 100 levels for the first time for every 100 levels you beat you get a resplendent spark also the higher up the wave count you make it the better the rewards become as in uber drop rate and amount of rewards change.
You'd have to really work on time spent to rewards made, but if it was varied enough in monster families that you get to fight and not just continuously giving you the same type repeatedly it could be fun.
Yep, dungeon layout generally and Pit's layout particularly are very frustrating. There are definitely gigantic rework needs to be done
For the time investment, I feel like the 250 chest should be a guaranteed 3 GA item. You may think this is too much but consider the opportunity cost of that time and that most 3 GA items won't even be useful.
I think the easiest way to improve the angel breath problem is to let incense now a drop and allow elixirs and incense salvageable.
Angel breaths should be attainable via salvaging legendaries.

Disagree, Gauntlet should be what you push for ranking amongst other players to get a gauge of your characters strength (Leaderboard), Pit should be there for players to test their characters might and gauge their success through the power of their character and their own skill. If you make both of them have leaderboards they both become redundant, one who cares about pushing Gauntlet , might not care about their leaderboard stats in Pit and vice versa, its two leader boards you have to grind out now, and these systems (pit, gauntlet) were designed for two different things.
edit: its ok for variety, wouldn't be bad just to add more game style modes into Gauntlet to push multiple leader boards in different game modes native to Gauntlet. This way you expand upon the Gauntlet system, a system which is already in place, and you can then take The Pit down a different path and expand upon that with more systems.
Power means nothing in the gauntlet, everything dies in 1 hit. Its 99% just proper pathing, not builds that matter. Pit is the opposite, pathing means nothing, builds mean everything
Agreed without pit leaderboards what's the point...
I think adding more mob density like D3 will help and be more fun. Smaller health pools but more mobs. Plus you proc more bonuses. Hoarde timers must go. Random boss spawns and better rewards will help.

I very much agree with everything, I'm missing something... item filters, I think that at some point in the season we are all tired of seeing common, magical and rare items on the screen, I only want to see legendary or unique ones
Agree. They said it should be less loot in S4. But 99% of the loot I get is autosalvaged. Even the ones with GA. I have gotten 7 triple GA. All of them was sold to vendor, because noone use the stats on them, at least not in that combination.
S5 provides me ZERO urge to play. S4 was the exact opposite. I couldn’t put the game down in S4. RIP.
It’s going to be the exact same as season 4 only we have new uniques to play with and less items to brick.

The issue is not because some of the affixes are so rare...the issue is the amount of gold required to reroll an affix. It should be capped at $1 million per reroll because many casual players just don't have that much gold. If you make every affix weigh the same, it will devalue the drop of loot because many more items dropping will have more desirable affixes on them, especially amulets.

Random idea for Infernal hordes waves, if you kill wave fast enough, next one would have goblin-like creature (not required to kill, fast, can escape) which would reduce timer by x seconds upon killing it.
If the infernal hordes arena is going to be a permanent mode, then season 5 will effectively be a test for it in its entirety. They really need to come up with actual fun and creative banes and boons for the future, or no one will play it.
we really want the new mechanic to be fun. If it's not fun there is no reason to play season and people simply won't play
100% agree with everything except the leaderboards in Pits, very nice analysis of everything that has to change in the game, for me the balance of classes and new uniques It is mandatory that it be changed for the good of the game, the state of the game in these aspects is terrible, the problem with Leaderboards are the majority of those who will fight to be the top of those leaderboards are cheaters and people who spend thousands of dollars on third party sell pages to get the perfect gear, for me There is no point, and Diablo 3 is the clear example of how horrible Leaderboards are, the leaderboards in Diablo 4 will be full of cheaters and people who buy gear with real money, for me there is no meaning.
rob you are a true hero to me and my diablo carrier I first started watching you when you had less than 10k subs and have helped me a lot with my builds im 12 years old and just did my first 140 pit today and you have been my help watching all of your videos along the way.
I think perra gamings video on the Sorc should be standard viewing for the developers working on the class.
Easy fix blizz, for the crown and shard, make them buff “ultimate skills”. Both by damage, cooldown and how you proc them. Thst fixes both issues of ultimates not doing enough and the items themselves bloating the item pool
Sorcerer still plagued by dmg on Tuesday with cc layering and vuln required before you can hit hard, also too many give/take stats when no other class does that! They need a complete overhaul and more aspects and 3rd enchant

I really hope Blizzard will watch this video before launch because what you are saying is 10/10. It does not take much effort to make these changes since most of it is already in the game...otherwise, they will face another S1 disaster after the S4 fun times.
YES. The Jail layout! Your so right it even happens in the "S4 live pit" its a bad map. It needs a loop or another branch or something. (loops make things work so Id go loop)
This might have been your best feedback video ever Rob, gj 👍. The only thing I'd be even more aggressive about is bringing down overall damage way below billions. Nothing in the game is designed to handle these numbers, not the dungeons, not the bosses, not even the UI.
I agree with getting everything to test it. Though they also need to test how easy or difficult it it to obtain the manuals or uniques, otherwise the focus is the endgame and the early to mid will be forgotten
I think they should keep the wave time the way it is but also spawn the monsters in as fast as you kill them, and give players more loot for the number of monsters they're able to kill in each wave
The feels of trying to get crit damage on gear only to get marksman damage % 4-5 times in a row LOL
ALL new items , uniques, aspects and new mechanics should be readily accessible to all players- I don't know how difficult this is for the developers to do, this should be something that they should have done right off the bat. They want our feed back, though I don't know why they are making it diffcult for us Beta tsters to do their work.
The two handed sword expertise issue is a bug if it doesn't proc on tyraels might or twisters if it is procced from a skill that uses a two handed sword. The only condition that should need to be fulfilled is that you're currently wielding a two handed sword whenever any direct damage occurs.
I asked for this in the closed beta feedback, I want the ability to place buff icons anywhere on the screen I want to make it easy to keep track of important buffs while fighting. Like in FFXIV, you can put skill icons anywhere, change size and opacity, to help easily do your rotations or keep track of when your skills are on cooldown, and let each player put the icons wherever makes it easy for them
We need bandit shrines, we need different type of goblins, vault, and random goblin packs like in D3. That could change gold farming too.
number 1 per improvement is letting all player actually participate. This being pc only really killed my motivation to even play anymore
We need more to do after lvl 100 than running pit and killing tormented bosses just to hope for better gear to run more pit.
I like things like delve in poe.
Infernal Hordes could still serve as solid endgame, if 1) they boost rewards a lot, 2) make the Pros/Cons mechanics more exciting, and 3) make low tiers clearable by casual players while high tiers challenge pros
Pit doesn’t even give you gear. The game would be more fun if you could grind pit for gear.

@@corpsefoot758 it gives like 6 legendary drops per run with no additional scaling. That’s basically no gear since you can chain spawn helltide with afk difficulty and 100x more GA per hour.
I remember in D3, Barbarian and Monk are the two strongest classes. Now, Barbarian and Rouge are still the top 2. Coincidence?

i spent like 1 hr each for 2 days on the PTR and thats it. didnt care to grind at all because all i wanted was to test things and not grind. they cant seem to get that into their heads
For Helltides, I'd like a use for the extra cinders. Since Obals aren't going to drop from the Helltide chests in S5, maybe let us exchange cinders for obals. Maybe make it so you can only do this after all chests have been opened in the active Helltide zones.
I don't care about streamers, but I just wanted to say that your suggestions seem reasonable. I'm really hoping for a soft cap for Armor / Res. Of course the curve for diminishing returns should be very aggressive.
I think the pit group reward scheme is to discourage carries. Making "leechers" pay runeshards won't make it any different, runeshards are too easy to get. I don't think carries are a problem worth solving though, if someone thinks it's fun to do nothing to get mats, so be it.
great feedback .. says a lot about Flaws in D4 game design. Commonsense , old ideas - Leaderboards, PTR import live chars, remove stacks idea, .. from us community plus good working concepts (D3) not coded into D4. And this is after Six years of coding + 1 full year since release 6.6.2023. Very bad, very slow .. game devs.
the soft caps take is a very good one! I agree 100% with it!
They should make it so the new game mode gets so tough that the only reason you can complete is is because the buffs you pick are like "+100% attack speed", "5x damage to crowd controlled enemies", "resource regen increased by 300%", "ability cooldown reduced by 50%", "ult cooldown reduced by 75%", "critical attacks deal 3x damage", etc. These selections at the end of each round need to feel exciting and allow you to play differently in this game mode in a way that makes you feel like a god taking on the most powerful forces of hell to the extent thay would be impossible outside of the game mode.
It’s real PTR feedback that Blizzard should listen to.
you went in to the hordes with barb, of course you complain that the bsses on tier 8 are to easy. many other classes struggle to even survive those bosses, and it is a 10mins + fight
You can only sell all items of your inventory, when you mark them as trash before, and then sell them with a right click to the vendor. Sooooo annoying.
I hate being stuck on console, I coukd be playing PoE instead of stressing over D4. In camp fire chat they literally said they dont want to introduce "mandatory" items, then a couple days later we see the new s5 uniques that will be mandatory on almost every build 😂 Am i in a time loop? Also they really need to bite the bullet and give Sorc/Druid/Necro another item slot like ring or amulet or even make a belt slot.

@@tasandmnm69I have not looked at a single build guide and I am having a blast after switching from D4 to POE. You definitely don’t need a guide. I just beat the campaign and started maps with my berserk cyclone build and am not having an issue
@@thrillainthemanilla1409 I have heard horror stories from the community and just trying to plan a build out with that insane galaxy of skills is headache inducing. It is complicated beyond being simply complicated, right now I lack the proficiency in my native language to summon a word that multiplies complicated exponentially that also expresses that it didn't have to be that way. It could have been presented in a much better manner and I truly hope with everything in me that PoE2 gets it right because GD does it look great.
@@tasandmnm69 It really isn’t nearly as complicated as your making it sound. There’s 3 major stats, int/dex/str. Your starting character will have you along one of these 3 stats or in between them. You use your points leveling up to place yourself on the spectrum of these 3 stats. (I.E you want to go full into INT then you go directly up on the skill tree. Full strength is to the left and down. Etc) and along the way you pick desirable passives. That’s really it.

HANDEL: Hier wären massive Verbesserungen erforderlich. Eine vernünftige Trading Seite wie bei z.b Poe. Möchte nicht ausschließen das ein Auktion House auch funktionieren würde wenn es vernünftig gemacht wird.
yea they should listen to rob pls :) also infernal hordes can be such a fun feature with pits aswell also for boss farming since you gain more efficient by doing group activitys
When I first logged into the ptr server my character didnt have any of its gear since it was an old snapshot , and then I had to grind to even test any of the new builds. So I just said F it , logged off and never logged back in 😂
Definitely going to be working on my backlog and then checking out the expansion in October. Had a blast in season 4, but enough with the nerfs already.
We need a AH or they need to remove trading from the gane. We need a armory to save builds. They need to nerf gold cost on reroll. They need to fix all the buggs. And they need to balance all the classes better. And then they need to add leaderboards to the pit. And they need to fix tempering problems.
If re-rolling affixes all had equal weights the season would be 1 week long.

I was shocked when I respawned in the previous level in the pit. Lol like WTF? and yes I hate the guaranteed deadends. its automatic backtracking with nothing. Wherever this happens, they should just pull from helltide and start spawning in monsters so you can keep filling the meter. I 100% agree they need to show you your clear time of a pit clear. I love the pop up menu idea after opening a pit rift, but what if they took the only good thing about Immortal and when you stand near the obelisk if anyone in town publicly opens a rift, it also gives the option to open an invite to anyone standing there in town? to me that solves the solo player that doesn't usually play with friends or other random group ups. These random group ups already happen at uber boss entrances. I would love for them to make all options in rerolling have the same chance, but if not at least show the percent chance of getting each thing, give us transparency!
D4 team its too quite about the Seson 5 feedbacks.. it sems that they are not willing to change a thing :(

One biggest concern I have is this was introduced in d3 twice. Do waves to get grift keys. Then introduce later. Both times it failed, so why is it coming in again? Maybe I'm missing something, it just seems like a repeat of a double failure
Pit bosses should be no more than 30% of the time spent. It's so boring to fight the pit before you get to the boss. Make it more challenging and enjoyable
maybe if you finish the highest tier get full stuff all 3GA affixes with 100K of each mats, 1k sparks then you can craft Ubbers you want multiple times and all uniques you want with a list you can choose, then the game is done .
They should let you enchant GA equipment for other GA rolls instead of losing it completely.
Unpopular opinion, but I think the group penalty is a good thing and 50% seems reasonable. More people clear faster so should get less reward compared to solo players. There are unfortunately still things like having to run Duriel in group to quadruple your mats. Just give us the solo self found tag already
100% agree on caps. so stupid. In fact, quit nerfing anything, I'm ok with shrinking everything (damage, health, etc) but no nerfs... what they should be focusing on is how to introduce even more cool crazy broken things but then make it DIFFICULT to obtain. And that doesn't mean make it ultra rare. It means figure out ways to make these broken builds require effort/time/skill/etc to attain. Sure luck is part of it too. Make the game fun. Stop trying to balance things when you have sorc/druid just floundering
a problem with making bosses harder is in that case they really need to boost the rewards becouse otherwise its just no point in doing them, like they say they will make worldbosses harder. to me the only thing that dose is that i will skip them totaly becouse its not worth the increased time it takes to kill them for no rewards.
I do not understand how BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT does not understand the more difficult the more time consuming a mode/event takes the MORE REWARDING IT HAS TO BE. Its 2024 They have been making games for decades. It seems like they can't grasp the most basic of concepts sometimes.

Are we going to have to do the immortal hordes? Like with your glyphs you have to do nightmare dungeons. If this takes 45 minutes that's almost a full helltide which gives tons of rewards.
I bricked my PTR instantly because I had my Uber uniques on a lvl 70 druid. Boosted to 100 and poof, it was all gone
Yup, seasonal activity made Blizzard way - they can't figure that when you kill wave of monsters next should spawn. Not that expected more...
Robs feedback: Pleaze Buff Barb
Seems like they are "balancing" the game by slowing you down instead of buffing underpower classes like Sorcs. So that is stuff like timers (i.e. kill enemies for 30 seconds at the end of a Vault run in Season 3, or kill enemies for a minute in Infernal Hordes) and caps on rewards (diminishing returns after Pit 101). Sorcs sucked in Season 3, but nobody complained because they farmed just as fast as other classes because the highest level content was Vaults. They don't want Barbs to farm 5x faster than Sorcs. The real solution should be to buff sorcs.

Infernal hordes is probably just a data collection point in preparation for the upcoming new co-op mode. Why not have 3 GA gear drop in it as rewards? It will probably just get bricked anyway 😂 some cool transmogs as rewards would be good also.

Things that need to change for season: log out of DIV and log in to Last Epoch. All solved until PoE comes along
I think instead of pits halving awards for group it doubles them for solos instead so there is still incentive for solo but no penalty for groups.
Hopefully they buff the development in this season. Where is tier 5. Where are the new enemy types. Where are the new skills. Where are the new classes. GETTING BORED BLIZZARD
love your take on the new arena mode. Game developers need to be bold and focus on making the game fun, the gameplay itself should be the reward, not another chores that I have to do for more pointless gears
The seasonal teams need sticky notes on their foreheads with the things that work and improve the game. And leave them be. They seem to forget, from season to season.

Loot needs to drop like it did in ascended vaults. Season 3 was basically a full inv of legendaries every 3 min vault run. Nobody is spending 15mins for 3 drops
I'm not a fan of finding 2-3 greater affix items easier, the game already rains items, kinda offputting. Could be cool if this is how we farmed Set pieces
The timer must be changed to a max time, not a fixed time. Once you've killed all the monsters the next wave begins
i agree with pit system,i play thorns barb and some monsters not dying,,,they just waste my time,i jump and jump,,, and they just standing there,, its not problem in helltide so i think its somekind of bug.
