  • Historic downtown Seneca, SC is (WAS) filled with great shopping around Ram Cat Alley and North 1st St. Now, it's looking like a perfect background for documentaries depicting Great Depression and unintended economic consequences: vacant stores, dilapidated buildings and nothing to do. At 2 pm on Wednesday it was hard to find anybody walking those streets (recorded on 09/28/2016).

Our daughter is visiting this town in a few weeks to meet her friend. Traveling all the way from Scotland, UK. I hope she has a good time, but judging by this footage, I wonder.

Once the industrial base is gone, it is tough.

I moved here from Charleston a year ago. Poor town needs investors.saddest public transportation. It's free but I'd rather pay and have more routes. I do hear a lot of talk about how the people who run this town are corrupt. Could be a beautiful place.
However love the vibe in Walhalla.

When half of the downtown buildings are vacant and boarded up and you can buy a house for $60,000 in this hot real estate market, you probably should not buy there
