      We have visited Lexington/Chapin/Irmo/Columbia area 3 times since 2020. We're coming from Jersey. We instantly fell in love with the place and the people, and the schools (in northern Lexington to be exact) don't seem too bad. Columbia did seem a little weird and dingy but no more weird and dingy than the big cities up here. Thinking about USC for my 14 year old to attend. I'm heading down there this April during spring break to see if I can make an offer on a home. I'm not looking to move to an area where there are people from NY/NJ area, that's what we're trying to get away from. NJ is a shit hole, plain and simple and anyone that tells you otherwise hasn't been here long enough. For comparison, I felt extremely safe walking in Columbia and West Columbia, I guess locals down there have a very different opinion of what a bad city looks like 😆.

    Check your facts! Fort Mill is in York County just over the NC stateline - THERE IS NO CHARLOTTE COUNTY. This whole video is erroneous, including median home prices, using stock footage found elsewhere on SC video promos, and mispronounced names. I am a resident of this state and while I haven't been everywhere mentioned I've been to most. This thing should be taken down.

    Your info is outdated. I live in Lexington, houses are much more than you mentioned. Rent is impossible to find, not to mention for $1,000. Traffic became a nightmare cuz of influx and lack of infrastructure. As soon as a new school is built, it’s already busting at its seams. Traffic accidents are everyday reality. • @BamaTidefan1967
      @BamaTidefan1967 Před 2 lety +5

      Summerville is seriously overcrowded now because of all the people that have moved here in the last 10-20 years. Bumper to bumper traffic from one end to the other every morning and evening six days a week. There is no state car inspection here so the smell of pollution is always in the air in the colder months. Noise pollution is also rampant. Boston is quieter than Summerville, LOL! I've lived here all my life and development is slowly strangling this area to death. Also you're looking at $250-300K minimum for a house that's barely out of the slums. Move to the upstate, the Lowcountry is overcrowded and over rated.

      also Fort Mill does not have suburbs lmao. Tega Cay is a suburb of Charlotte as is Fort Mill. Just because you intertwine towns schools does not mean nothing man.

    this list is already a load of shit just from the first entry. lexington? forreal? have y'all ever been anywhere NEAR the Columbia metro area? mount pleasant? sure if youre over sixty years old. IRMO??? thats literally the worst suburb in columbia its basically just a gigantic strip mall. forest acres is admittedly one of the best places to live in the columbia area so at least they got that right. very surprised they didnt put charleston at number one probably because its overcrowded and expensive
