I mean this is bad advice. Don't "start thinking" about a pension at 40. If you haven't started yet you are 15 years behind. Max out your tax advantaged contribution limit (25%) every month and get it done Yesterday. Saving for children's education isn't necessary unless you are in rural Ireland. This is just an attempt to funnel money away from a low commission PRSA product, into a higher commission savings/investment product. Which isn't tax advantaged. Do me a favour lol If they are better off financially as you suggest. Anything less than maxing out the 25% cap is awful advice, it's 40% free money at the high marginal rate
