I could kick myself in the "A-you-know-what" for not paying more attention to this guy when I was a kid. In the rat-pack he was far ahead of all the other talent out there. He is what I like to refer to as a "one percenter". A one percenter is an Einstein, or a Harlan Ellison, or Bruce Lee. These are the few that rise to the very top of everyone in their field. (Speaking of Bruce Lee, I used to think he was the fastest moving man that ever lived until I saw footage of Sammy dancing.) Anyway, what an amazing talent. A true renaissance man if ever one existed.

@@danzwiren1492 - no shit...this guy was in show biz as soon as he could walk due to the poverty of The Great Depression - never went to formal school to read a day in his life, yet, look at everything he accomplished....thousands of song lyrics, hundreds of Movie and TV scripts, and his vocabulary and oratory skills exceeded many who had 16 or 20 years of schooling. It speaks to this man's tremendous work ethic.
