#Sweetwater #BenEller - Hudba
Remember when we went to Sweetwater? That was awesome.
You should make cameos in every video on these here internets Uncky Ben! Just instantly takes me back to 9th grade lunch and Capri Sun... 😘
Ok. This is next level content. We need a Fluff + Ben Eller channel.
I second this. Would like to see uncle ben chicken pickin over some metal riff
Or a Ben Eller and Fluff channel
Uncle Ben Fluffer
For sure! I know they are both extremely busy, but would love it if they could squeeze in at least 1 Fluff and Ben video per month.
Agreed
Ben and Fluff need a co-host youtube channel. I love seeing them together.
I second the motion.
Yes please!
The accidental comedic timing when Ben says "baste your box", and Fluff says "wow, there's a lot of stuff in that one"😂
We could make a very perverse montage of the things that have been said in this video and it would be hilarious.
GENIUS
One time I didn’t get candy… definitely wasn’t in there… called my man Joel… sent me a huge jar of candy and some other goodies! Sweetwater is one of the best. 🤘😎 🎸
“They look more like boxes to me, Ryan.” Gawd, wayyyy funnier than it should be.
As an evening shift tech in the Sweetwater Guitar Gallery, I am still very upset I missed y'all coming thru. I love working here and I'm always happy knowing customers appreciate that we go the extra mile. Come back soon! (But after 3pm 😎)
I didn't understand the process, guitars are being inspected when they arrive from manufacturer before they ship to the customer who just bought it?
@@allsic Yes. Sweetwater buys the product from manufacturers and we sell them on the website. We unbox, inspect, photograph, tune and polish, and rebox them, that way when a customer buys from us, they know that they are getting a guitar that was looked at and cared for as well as tuned up to play right away out of the box!
@@KodyHall23 then the FED EX or UPS shipper damages up the well cared for instrument by throwing it in the semi truck at least 8 times then dragged it to your house all torn up . I lived this I bought a prs from sweetwater and it was not even double boxed. FEDEX messed it up completely
Holy wow, that place is HUGE! It’s crazy to think how much of our collective gear has been there 😬
This is why I buy from Sweetwater exclusively pretty much! Great customer service and their attention to detail is astounding.
Talking about recycling costs reminded me of those “turning into your dad” commercials lol
Always wondered how the back end distribution operated ... VERY COOL video thanks for sharing!!
This was a super video!! Lots a of new things learned!! Thanks guys!!
I can only imagine this what hanging out with Ben Eller is like at all times. His wife and puppies are simply the luckiest 🤣
Dawwwwwww you’re too sweet
Is anyone else learning that they will do custom work for you just now?!? When did this start?!?
Seriously, I had no CLUE they would do custom setups for you. Why are they not advertising this?!
Yeah, I had no idea we could do that
Yes they will do all kinds of ,set ups install pickups etc....
Never thought to ask. I've purchased 3 guitars from them that I would have had changes made to.
This was a really awesome video. Love to see this type of content!
Thank you for this video! I didn’t know Sweetwater would customize the guitar! Mind blown!
Oh snap....Dan just changed everything....a Sweetwater customized guitar....yes please!
Ben is a joke machine. I've enjoyed all his appearances on the channel!
I love both your channels and I love both your takes on everything you talk about !
really cool tour Fluff
So many smiles. Bravo Sweetwater!
Thats was a great video man! Love uncle Ben too!
That was pretty great!
This is awesome
This was great!
Guitar Center could never🤩
So awesome 🤘
Ben and fluff have made boxes great again.
It's amazing that SW's complex and thorough 'inspection line' doesn't eat up all the profit margin of the guitars. They must have determined that returns and complaints cost far more money than these up-front inspections. When someone buys a guitar from Amazon, do you think they inspect their guitars in the same way? I have a feeling the box comes from the manufacturer, goes on to a shelf, and then ships to the buyer.
It's for guitars $299 and up, which alone is surprising, but I'm sure a company that size knows the math that this is worth it. Makes me WAY more comfortable to buy something like that from them.
@@Defleshuary Yep, agreed! I didn't realize there was a min price, but that makes total sense. And, as you noted, $299 is pretty low!
Fluff and Ben are the new Rob and Captain.
Ben is the man. I've learned so much from his videos. And, he seems like a cool guy. Thanks for having him on the video.
love you two!
This place is amazing
Shit O Honey is the funniest joke here. Yet it goes unnoticed.
great video! I have always wanted to see that distribution center!
I love how they don't really know where everything is, they just got dropped into the warehouse and are wandering around. I would love to see them do this in other places, like at a Walmart or in the woods somewhere. It'd be hilarious.
It's a bugera, take that out of there!"
LMAO🤣
I love how the candy is the most important part of all of it.
You two host well together ✌️
the Bugera roast at 6:30 was legendary
have several Sweetwater guitars, very happy with my purchases
At 6:38 ,Ben Bugera shaming some random dudes order is hilarious😂! Lmao!
Sweetwater nailed it when they put Atomic Fireballs with their candy!!
that last bit of them doing custom work for their customers... mind blown, like wow AMAZING, sweetwater is getting even MORE of my money now.
This is good stuff. I LOL'd many times in the course of this video hahaha!
"Are these Lead or Rhythm guitars? It's hard to tell the difference." God damnit, Uncle Ben!
Love to have a look in there and try loads of guitars out
I used to work there when I lived in Fort Wayne. It's a really nice place to work and shop.
The end of that video answered several questions that I've had about Sweetwater. It's amazing that they can, and will do custom mods for you in house that way your axe shows up to you the way you want it.
I love those guys at Sweetwater, and I have been a customer for at least 15 years.
This would be awesome .
5150 shoes “might as well jump”😂
Holy moly!! 💥🎷🎺🎹🎸🪕🎻🪘🥁🪗🎤
Place is HUGE !
Aye that’s me waddling around in the background with the black beanie! 😂😂
from large orders i have done (amps ,rack effects etc ) to just strings and polish i HAVE ALWAYS gottin candy THANKS SWEETWATER!!!!
Hey you, yeah you, I know you heard the forklift beep…
Take a drink.
🙃
Easily one of the best videos Fluff's ever done...
I'd always wondered how Sweetwater comes up with their prices on their Demo/B-stock guitars, and loved the peek behind the curtain here at the 15:23 mark. It seems like the base discount is 10%, possibly different depending on the manufacturer, but it seems like the key here is the Tech 3 being given the autonomy to come up with their own discounts as well. With this knowledge, I'd like to give a HUGE shoutout to the Tech 3 who discounted my 2020 Gibson LP Studio to $566 due to some minor finish issues.
I don’t play les pauls. But damn, for that price slap my butt and call me mary ford
Guy in the Jurassic park shirt doing photo behind Fluff here, the tech 3 doesn’t get to make the actual discount decision and it’s usually JUST a 10% off sort of deal. But I believe certain blemishes may constitute more off or if it’s been demoed for a certain length of time. 🤙🏻
That place looks big enough to be used for car manufacturing. Crazy!
Had zero idea we could get guitars customized prior to getting them. Gonna be a game changer in the near future.
Yes!
Oh yeah. Part of that 55 point inspection process.
The plek machine is amazing. I plan on getting one of my next guitars plekt
Sweetwater is my go to shop. Excellent service. Just bought an Ibanez from them a few weeks ago. Love the candy too. Didn't get the fireball this time though. I was a little sad. Will definitely request some next time.
I would love to hang out there for a few days doing "quality checks" of all the top gear. so much stuff that the tonal possibilities are endless.
I always get my guitars shipped with my string choice and a specific tuning
Ben has a real creative, spicy, eastern - European type of humor which makes your brain smile every time. Nothing is forced, it is just comes out naturally!
This video is hilarious, I ordered my Kramer Dave Sabo guitar about a year ago from Sweetwater and they were totally awesome to deal with!
Anticipating the custom order video
So Fluff just put all those candy packages in his face and put them back… SUPERSPREADER
Now I know why I only got half my order, thanks guys😉
02:40 - 02:44 This soundbyte will never go away.....ever
The best advertising for Sweetwater is working for GC.
They should advertise that custom setup thing more, I just did that with a les paul. I had the thing completely turned inside out to match my preference.
Awesome stuff. I actually didn't know about the photo thing until I got my PRS last month. That email was a beautiful surprise.
Especially with a PRS! Some of the most beautiful instruments ever made.
I have had awesome service from strings tools to my Masterbuilt Eppiphone,Great customer service all the time..Shout to Mr Walsh thank you...
I bought a Les Paul Standard 60s at Guitar Center. I played it, tinkered with it, and agonized over it. I bought it and I love it. A month later I bought another Les Paul from Sweetwater. A Les Paul Classic. Never played it. Just saw it in photos. When I got the Les Paul from Sweetwater it was perfect! It was nicely set up, all the stuff was in the case (I didn't get the LP birth photo from the one I bought from GC), and it was an Excellent buying experience. I would highly recommend buying from Sweetwater! Especially, if you know exactly what you want (i.e. a Strat, an LP, a PRS, etc). When you buy from a guitar store like Guitar Center they put the guitars on the wall and throw the cases and case candy in the back. When you buy the guitar from a store there is no guarantee your going to get the case or accessories that came with that particular guitar. They just pull the case and accessories from pile in the store room. You expect more when you're spending a few grand on a new guitar. Sweetwater 100% delivers. I had the guitar in my hands within 5 days.
Dream jobs for many players .. great integrity I’m seeing in that warehouse … Thanks. #staysafe
GOD that warehouse takes me back to working at Musicians Friend!
Oh such mirth.
Fluff and Ben need a podcast
This is awesome, makes me wonder if they'd expand it to other instruments (drums, strings, other things that need custom options/orders).
My wife and I took a trip to Fort Wayne for our anniversary last year. 5 hour drive straight to Sweetwater. Had a great time, people were excellent and drive back home with a Boss Katana 100. I could have gotten it at my local store but really didn't want to leave empty handed.
I'm actually surprised that fluff didn't know they will do pickup swaps and other stuff. I've never done it myself as the specs play a big part in what guitar I buy, but I knew it was an option.
I just found this video. I've seen a couple of these Sweetwater behind the scenes videos from others before. This one was a bit more in depth for the entire operation though. I laughed during the candy segment. I often make the same joke... "I ordered some candy and the nice folks at Sweetwater sent me... a guitar!!!" I did know about Sweetwater's setups and customization. I've not gone so far as having pickups or anything swapped out but I did have my latest guitar (Sshecter Solo II Custom) Plek'd and that guitar is a freaking dream to play. Fun video! Normally this kind of video would be boring as hell... but it's you and Ben Eller...er... it was guitars and Sweetwater so it was awesome. Haha.
Loving the wage war shirt. That's one of my favorite bands!
I've been out of the loop for quite a few years.. I don't remember sweetwater being a (popular?) thing back in the day. They seem like a super awesome place to buy from.
This is fascinating. I've purchased half a dozen guitars from Sweetwater, some quite expensive, and have always been amazed at the customer service process and the quality of the delivered instrument. In most cases, I specified various set-up adjustments to the base instrument and have always been satisfied. This is an interesting high level look at the process, but I would love to see additional videos that focus on the techs and the set up details. Like "a day with a Sweetwater tech..." that sort of thing.
As someone who works as a tech for the Gallery I would love that. But most of us would be super camera shy 😅
@@yungstaben7675 I can understand that, but you wouldn't have to necessarily talk on camera. Anyway, a lot of your clients are interested in the work you do and appreciate the attention to detail!
@@frederickthompson8686 thank you! I can honestly say I try my best to be as detail oriented as I can be so whoever gets that guitar is happy with it.
@@yungstaben7675 So far, you've done an excellent job! Thanks!
Excellent video. I’d like to see more videos like this after the Plague is under control.
It is crazy ! I’ll live not too far from Sweetwater it is crazy I go there once in a while to get some stuff and it’s nuts every time I go to pick pick it up!
This is awesome. All we have here is a carpet factory. 😫
I like the fireballs!!
Been there several times, I live 2 hrs away. Love that place. Drove there to buy my PRS. How 'bout the slide!
I didnt know they will doo all those mods to your new guitar if you want them. That's pretty cool! That, plus candy!
15:05 someone is testing a guitar by playing Ram Ranch LMAO
Ben's dad jokes 👌
Whaaaaaaattt????!!!!!! @26:51 ANNNNNNDDDD?!!
Service is phenomenal? My sales dude. Luis Al-Ayubi is the man! We chatted about the Jhs colourbox for two hours one day!
Quite a place
Ben was a riot
Exactly how i figured a warehouse of instruments would look. That was pretty boring. Boxes , pictures and candy wow . Very informative.
Yup I agree with a lot of others.... Y'all need to do more content together in the future. Lots of hilarious moments here.
Bit-O-Honey is the best! Going to fill my shopping cart now.
Get out of the way! You guys are delaying my orders🤣🤣🤣
