If the motor isn't run to cool down,
motor could be the problem.
instead of changing whole cooling fan, we can repair it by
changing carbon brush in the motor.

some advice for your next rebuild: replace all the brush and clean the old wire before you solder. it will have better contact and solder penetration when they're clean and by changing all of them, your fan will lasts much longer. for installation, use a socket as big as the commutator to spread the brush. it will be easier that way. clean and re-grease both shaft and bushing too if your fan uses bronze bushing instead of ball bearing 😉
