- These daily vlog posts are trial and error attempts to learn how to video b-roll better and tell a story both visually as well as verbally. I am using only the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the PYGTech Mantispod Z at the moment. No extra lighting. No tripods. No microphones. Eventually, I will add some other equipment. Right now, however, the focus is on getting the video and learning how to entertwine it together in editing to create a more compelling story.

Beautiful, I love butterflies. In the fall we would get a steady stream of monarch butterflies passing thru our yard heading south, amazing such a small animal can travel so far.
The music was perfect, set the right mood and obviously the right length. The video was full of colour and life showing so many different types of butterflies. Great job

I think this is one of your best videos so far. I really like butterflies. They have a garden with butterflies in February at Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids Michigan. It looks very similar. Thank you for taking the time to video.

I like the time lapse intro and Otros with the slow motion of the butterflies. It almost made it look like the butterflies and the clouds move at the same speed. my only issue was some of the butterfly clips were out of focus, most of them were not though so that’s good. Otherwise, I really liked it!
Yeah. It’s hard to focus between leaves at 5x zoom. 😂

What a wonderful way to start my day...with this video and the music that you selected. Do you ever select a song and then go out and shoot a video? With the afternoon heat that we are getting here on the Pacific Coast/Mount Saint Helens area, I have had time to watch more You Tube videos in the afternoon once we retire indoors to the air conditioning. Watched a few videos on getting b roll shots and I can really see how good your b roll shots are now; they seem to come natural to you now that you have been practicing with these daily videos! Keep up the good work.
I typically wait until I start editing before I look for music. Great question!

Wow, you filmed this with iphone? I have a 15pro but I didn't know it could film this close. If you gave a lesson on this subject I would definitely watch. Its getting that up close to nature and slowing it down we can actually witness the miracle of life. I really enjoyed this video!
