Disgaea 5 But I Can't Level Up (NO EXP CHALLENGE RUN)

Today we take on a challenge of trying to beat Disgaea 5, without gaining XP or Leveling up
So yes, this means no grinding or repeating stages for easy exp/levels.
There's other mechanics in the game to get stronger besides levelling up

Why didn't you just toss muscle bro prinny for revival credits? Unlock high tier muscle then wander into item world.
Hm, I'm planning to do something similar but I was going to get to post game, reset the story, and make a group of generics with some limitations to make it fairly clean. I really like self imposed challenges like this for Digaea because the game has the complexity to support it.
So, here's my idea for a No-Exp Disgaea 5 challenge run by starting over in post game:
1. No Exp is on in the cheat shop
2. No Unique units allowed
3. You can only buy the lowest level equipment from the shop & you can only use equipment earned from bonus or stolen from enemies during the run.
The idea is that all of your character's power is from their equipment and essences from killing revenge enemies and capturing. You can still grind up due to item world, but any power you gain will be extremely deliberate.
Optional rules for extra challenge:
4b. Only create 5 generics for the challenge.
5b. Turn off the ability to cancel actions and moves (This isn't that bad in Disgaea 5 specically, because you can still move after moving as long as you took no action)
6b. Turn on 0 revenge.
7b. Turn on No Bonus Items for a super steal scavenger hunt for better items.
8b. Make the Enemy Strength in the cheat shop equal to the chapter number for a steeper difficulty curve.
Allowing capturing is quite boring though. It just becomes a grindfest to capture tons and turn them into essence. I would propose no exp, no capture. I like your idea of only lowest lvl equip from the shop tho!
