I have a tip for increasing mastery, get a maid go into the corner of 2-1 where the xp boost is with the cheat shop set to max xp and use up every unopened soda / mint gum you have once it increases your level a bit you can just go one shot everything in 1-5 for a bit

i am all for a challenge in video games however you have to make it fair also if you are level 1 and you are fighting enemies that are level 100 with no stat boosts of course you will lose. a more fair challenge would have bean to make the enemies like 5 to 20 levels above you.

i bought disgaea 5 years ago just because i was a fan of other tactical rpgs and it got good reviews. i played it for about 4 hours but i didnt really "get" it and so i kinda just gave up and put it away. however, now that ive watched your whole catalogue of videos, i think i actually do get what makes it so cool. im gonna go back and play it again. so thanks.

It's unfortunate to see that you stopped making videos, I just found your channel today and I enjoyed all of your Disgaea challenge runs! I feel like maybe you quit because you weren't getting enough views, but if you're open to a bit of constructive criticism then I think it would be a good idea to change the channel name (since it's too meme-y to draw people in), make a new channel icon and banner that represents your Disgaea challenge videos more, and study some photoshop techniques and CZcams thumbnail trends to make more eye-catching thumbnails. Putting all of the parts into one larger video would also help, since CZcams tends to recommend longer videos more and it also allows for a higher audience retention rate. You have a good microphone quality, commentary, editing, and speaking voice, and your videos have interesting premises, I think the other factors just held your channel back and kept it from reaching more Disgaea fans. Maybe expanding to other Disgaea games and Nippon Ichi games in general would be a good idea as well, so that there's a large variety when it comes to video topics. I dunno if you'll ever make more Disgaea videos or even see this comment, but if you do then I wish you luck in the future! I'd definitely be interested in seeing more Disgaea challenge videos, if you kept at it then you could really corner the niche of Nippon Ichi fans on CZcams since nobody else really makes Disgaea videos like this besides Primalliquid (and even then he hasn't made many of them).

How about Disgaea 3 Nuzlock and/or Disgaea 4 Bond of souls Duel wielding? Bond of souls is not hard but it should be fun maybe or Desco run with out grainding.

Hm, I'm planning to do something similar but I was going to get to post game, reset the story, and make a group of generics with some limitations to make it fairly clean. I really like self imposed challenges like this for Digaea because the game has the complexity to support it. So, here's my idea for a No-Exp Disgaea 5 challenge run by starting over in post game: 1. No Exp is on in the cheat shop 2. No Unique units allowed 3. You can only buy the lowest level equipment from the shop & you can only use equipment earned from bonus or stolen from enemies during the run. The idea is that all of your character's power is from their equipment and essences from killing revenge enemies and capturing. You can still grind up due to item world, but any power you gain will be extremely deliberate. Optional rules for extra challenge: 4b. Only create 5 generics for the challenge. 5b. Turn off the ability to cancel actions and moves (This isn't that bad in Disgaea 5 specically, because you can still move after moving as long as you took no action) 6b. Turn on 0 revenge. 7b. Turn on No Bonus Items for a super steal scavenger hunt for better items. 8b. Make the Enemy Strength in the cheat shop equal to the chapter number for a steeper difficulty curve.

A cool challenge would be the "one gender only", with no overlevelling to keep it fair At first it might seem stupid but think about it, Samurai and Flonne are by far the most prominent units in a Disgaea 1 story team due to how busted they are. Same with Red Magnus in Disgaea 5, the dude gets huge AOE damage and the second best overload in the main campaign right off the bat. It would also be an interesting choice. Would you play the first game with Laharl, Ninjas and Scouts or are Etna, Samurai and the angels a better units? Are Rozalin, Witch and Valkyrie more viable than Adell, Skull and Warrior? Am I going to give up Red Magnus and Killia or do I want to play the game without Usalia, Armor Knights and Maids?

Gotta applaud that you didn't use the soda trick but i noticed you had a healer and here's a tip for you about support skills, the caster gains experience on the level of the one the spell is used on, so you could have used the healer and gotten exp that way while you did the other stuff

You can't get a level 5000 because they will kill you before you can capture them, and the interrogation is based on your stats

I am playing a different challenge. Grinding is forbidden which means item world can not be used and I can not go back to previous stages. I start the game from the beginning and I increase the difficulty by one star for every chapter everything else is set to normal. I am fairly confident that I can not beat this game, but I am curious how far I can go.

Max difficulty also gives you many, many SubClass Experience since the enemeis are so powerful, which means you get better stats and by the time you reach postgame, you have more stats AND need less time to max the subclasses

wait this actually makes this game harder but yet again it is smart to play it this way sense beating the story normally is way too easy and boring but this is a smart challenge. keep up the good work

I'm playing Disgaea 4 same rules as yours but added on cheat shop max difficulty level to make things more Challenging. I'm at chapter 3 first stage but enemies are like level 110. Funny I haven't died since iknow every enemy's ability and I'm being very careful if 1 of my classes dies that class is gone. I almost lost my rank 4 warrior to Fuuka I almost lost him. but I will carry on your challenge.

I play this game a lot and have it on my mobile phone which I'm glad they added auto-battle auto-repeat and 1-8x speed. hell someone beat Baal in a speed run only 3hours:30 min.
