Monte Pittman has been on the block for a while. Why he he's not super famous is beyond me. In the guitar solo, you can here a lot of Jerry Cantrell influence. Still awesome. Monte Pittman is far beyond just rock and/or metal. Overall a great and promising musician. This is a beast of a song! Hands down - great!
Monte still has it going on! I remember him being in a band called Myra Mains, and played at the OCEAN CLUB in Longview , Texas...back in the '90's. He was only a couple years out of high school back then. He has come a long way! ...and his future is wide open! Awesome guy, and excellent musician!

+ganondorfchampin The voice is also similar in style to Mastodon, who's lead singer also brings vibes of Ozzy (when he's not screaming, in songs like Dry Bone Valley :P)
There are a lot of dumb ass close minded comments here. Just because the vocals aren't screaming or deep gutteral roars, there is no double kick pedal, only one guitar, and no crazy solo doesn't mean it's not metal. Its doesn't have to be the heaviest to be metal either. If the people who make this music say its metal then it is, its more about the feeling of the music than how it sounds. But like your comments this is just my opinion so think whatever you please.
The people who say that this isn't metal, need to listen to some classic metal, like Black Sabbath. I swear, kids today don't know the roots of metal & call themselves metalheads. It's sad, really...
Just saw this band (different drummer and bass player), open for Sebastian Bach. I was absolutely amazed by the music, and would definitely see them again.
This track is embarrassingly on repeat like all day long and stuck in my head driving home. This doesn't begin to show how crazy this guy can get going on the guitar. Which is awesome, cause this song is perfect. Seeing him play with Tommy Victor (prong) is a heavy riffers wet dream. I wish him all the luck carving out a place of his own in Metal. Everything he does is really top shelf musicianship - a good study.

I don't know if people don't like the clean vocals, it's not extreme enough in tone, or they just find it derivative or something. I can tell you I mostly prefer more extreme stuff than this, but this is still VERY GOOD STUFF!! Oh, and their song Evidence from Sirius XM Liquid Metal is what brought me here.
