    Thus demo is really well done. No crazy playing, just clear showing what the pickups do and good audio recoridng.

    Thanks for making this! I'm debating between these two pickups for my Vintera II 60's Strat. Think the 65's might be what I'm after. Also, that Neural Tone King plugin sounds incredible. I just grabbed the Morgan suite. Great video! Subscribed!

    65 sounds nice and meaty, midrangey. That's my cup of tea. The 61 too ice pickey and shrill. I would be messing with the tone knobs too much. Texas specials too hot for me. 69s are cool but maybe a different tool for a different job (when I need some extra shimmering highs).
    Great vid man! Would love to hear the 65s against the 69s. Seems to be no vids on that.

    Thanks for the video! I prefer the 65's, they have a balanced sound with a crisp midrange and clear but not piercing high end. The 61's sound too bright in my opinion, but they're not bad sounding by any means. I'm listening on a pair of consumer headphones, so maybe the sound is slightly different through studio headphones or speakers.

    How would you compare the Pure Vintage 61 to the CS69 pickups? I have 69s now but am curious about the new 61. How would you describe them in terms of feel, and how they take gain? Also, maybe midrange character and roundness in the neck position? Thank you.

    • @ElvisSasha
      @ElvisSasha  Před 3 měsíci +3

      Hello. It's hard to explain in words, you have to feel it. I apologize, but From my subjective point of view, the CS69 was a dead sound. CS69 did not impress me at all, as everyone says about them. With the PV61, the guitar came alive. PV61 have a good midrange and light high frequencies. PV 61 have a bite, that's what I like. Bridge pickup is not sharp. 5 and 2 position balanced volume, what I was looking for. Bridge pickup is very good for Rock music, rock solo, no need to reduce the tone knob. Neck pickup is very good for SRV music. The 61s are very easy to play and have a good response. This is just my subjective opinion. And it is better to buy once and try it yourself. Of course I could be wrong.I hope my explanation was useful. Thank you.

    Have you ever tried a CS Fat 50s and how would they compare to the Pure Vintage 61? im thinking of changing to these but ive just only recently got into strats and the CSF50s are my first pickups on my amproii strat, they seem a bit bassy or muddy

    • @ElvisSasha
      @ElvisSasha  Před měsícem +1

      Yes, I tried the CSFat 50s and they seemed a little bassy as you say. I can't say exactly how the 50 sounds compared to the 61 because I no longer have a fat50. But for today I really like 61 more than fat50. But be careful because 61 middle pickup is not RWRP.

    Great A/B-ing as always Sasha! How would you say the PV65 compare w the 57/62s and Texas Specials? Thanks!

    • @ElvisSasha
      @ElvisSasha  Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you. A very difficult question. 65 is punchy, 57/72 is very clean and a little thin, and Texas Special needs to hit the strings harder to have a strong attack. I could be wrong. This is my subjective opinion.

  • @Riccardoferriscuccimarra

    Which one do you prefer? I have the american original 60 with the 65 pure vintage and I feel sometimes it lacks a bit of attack and high mids. I have tried an american vintage ii with the 61 pure vintage and I like it a lot beacause it had more attack and clarity. Do you think it's all beacause of those pickups or do you think it's also beacause of the slaboard neck and the slimmer neck of the avii?
    I play knopfler, srv, hendrix and that stuff.

    • @ElvisSasha
      @ElvisSasha  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Hello. Thanks for the comment. This is a very interesting topic and I have not fully understood it yet. I noticed that pv 65 pickups have a strong punch and low frequencies. And pv 61 pickups have less low frequencies and have a bright high mid range, and also have a good attack. I don't know how to describe it in words, but pv 61 pickups seem to bite, when you hit the pick on the string, the notes seem to cling to the pick, which I really like. Sorry, but I could be wrong. This is my subjective opinion. I'm thinking of buying American Vintage || 61, but I have a little doubt whether it is worth paying such a large amount of money? I want to take my guitar with 61 pickups into the shop and compare it to the American Vintage 2, I wonder if there will be a difference? It would be great if you buy pv 61 pickups and put them on your American original. It would be interesting to hear how 61 vs 65 pickups sound on an American Original guitar. Thank you. Good luck!

      Hello my friends! I'm very glad to talk about this topic. (Sorry for my English.)
      I'm user of AO60 with PV65 pickups And same troublesome too.
      I tried American Vintage ii and old 1996's american vintage.
      American Vintage ii was similar to old american vintage. But AVii had smooth attack like a American Original.
      I think it reason is finish. AVii's finish texture looks like AO.
      Probably total tone balance from neck spec.
      About pickups, Pure Vintage 65 has round peak at 200hz. And frequency rolled upper than 3khz.
      AO is always same tone if I changed string to new. Difference is small on my DAW.
      Pure vintage 61 sounds cutted arround mid-row. There is meddle often to other tracks.
      Thank you for your very nice video!
      I concider to buy PV61, Suhr V70, or Duncan clean machine.
      But maybe best is Ibanez AZ for Vocaloid music haha.
