I'm from a massive Louisiana family. My great uncle once went fishing and by the river/creek saw Clyde Barrow sitting on the hood of his car. Also the deputy or sherriff Jordan that shot them down was also a distant relative, as my last name is also Jordan. I keep wanting to drive out to the ambush spot and keep forgetting. Maybe I'll do that this weekend.

Read up on the death car, it was stolen by Bonnie and Clyde, but when the rightful owners wanted it back, the sheriff fought them tooth and nail. They had to sue for a car that they had already bought, because of the notoriety of it.....

I saw the car when I hauled carpet out to the Big casinos when they were rebuilding them. It wasn't in a glass display then. Nor did it have all the writing on it "Bonnie and Clyde", but was sitting in a small alcove. It had the manicians, but Ms Bonnie had a short black wig on. I spent some time looking at the car and bullet holes, and came away with a sick feeling!! They weren't just ambushed, they were slaughtered and it was more than just overkill. I thought it was horrible and very morbid. Sad. I know they were killers, and robbers and they had to be stopped, but the officers and people in enforcement did the same thing as the Barrow gang!!! They are no better!!

The lawmen had to do it that way. Clyde had some skills with firearms. No one came out alive from a gun battle with Clyde Barrow if he got the first shot. Add to that the fact that he had vowed that he would never be taken alive.

It seems that the supposed law man robbed from this couple and now his family have made a large amount of money from them. So the police were in fact robbers. It seems extremely hypocritical that these men condemned this couple as the worlds worst, yet stole from them. You would have expected them to want nothing to do with them. The ring and personal items should have been returned to their family. This family could have done this to Bonnie and Clyede's surviving relatives. This seems highly unjust. I believe the families of Bonnie and Clyde should sue.

in the Arthur Penn version, there is that line which all of us fans of the movie remember. CW Moss(composite character of WD Jones and H.Methvin.)carelessly opens his coat to pay for some take -out chicken, and reveals (w/ out even realizing it, 'cause he ain't too bright) a .38 in his waist band. and a law man happens to spot it, and gets on the phone and says "get me Sheriff SMOOT " I thought for a long time, that he'd said Zamuto . Some of these items were apparently official court documents and others possessions of sadistic murderers. For a police officer to keep them as souvenirs is reprehensible. From the Cherokee Co Courthouse, "On Easter Sunday April 1, 1934, Highway Patrolman H.D. Murphy and his partner E.B Wheeler stopped to assist, what they thought were stranded motorists on a desolate stretch of Texas 114 near Grapevine, Texas. The two officers were cut down by buckshot before they could even draw their pistols from their holsters. They were the first two Texas Highway Patrolman killed in the line of duty. H.D. Murphy at the age of 24 was and still is the youngest Texas Highway Patrolman to be killed in the line of duty. H.D. Murphy and Marie Tulles were to be married twelve days later on April 13. ... His bride to be wore her wedding dress to his funeral..." All monies from the auction should have been donated to a fund for slain officers. Stop glamorizing these murderers.

Shouldn't all the money from the auction of Bonnie and Clyde's personal items go to the direct families still alive today of the people Bonnie and Clyde killed. I say that because all those items were taken into procession by the law officiers. So anything that is held by the law does NOT belong to the law. In this case it was STOLEN by the law. That is why the guy that stole those items never told his family about it because he knew it was illegal to do that. So his family can't just years later make a profit on it.

      # Hashtag, You are right it is definitely NOT Bonnie Parker at 8:21. That mugshot is Bonnie's sister Billie Jean. She was arrested for helping Bonnie and they thought she was part of the gang but they found out she was not, But she did help them. When Bonnie got hurt really bad everyone thought she was going to die. Bonnie kept crying for her mother so Clyde drove to Dallas from Arkansas to get Bonnie's mother Emma but she could not go because they would not let her be off work for that long. So Billie Jean said she would do it. So that helped Bonnie having her sister with her. When Bonnie got well enough Clyde took Billie Jean back home. She did not want to leave because she had fell for WD her and WD became sweethearts .But that did not last long just a few weeks. But Clyde and Bonnie said No you are going home. They did not want her to be in trouble with the law also.

    Oh ya
Clyde was not a gang leader😂😂😂😂
So the whole Barrow gang name is so hilarious
The real gang leaders of that time laughed at Clyde. They called him cute and a hillbilly. They thought his little gas station robberies were hilarious. Because he was only a small time robber. He was not big time like dillinger or baby face floyd.
This is why the law men of the time were pathetic and cowards. Instead of wanting the big timers, they kept getting more angry that Clyde always got away and he was not loving up to their lies to the media and newspapers.

So a copper can just take any stuff they stumble upon? This should go to a museum or the profits to some good cause. Not that these people can make a buck. No shame. The lawmen of the time hated B&C being popular and now money is made off it by their kids. Great stuff.

It was No Different than what Bonnie and Clyde Did . 2 Wrongs Never made A Right yet . But Memorabillia in a Family Should be Kept in a Family . These People Who explote certain things in order to Make Money on Dead Relatives , How about Letting the Dead Rest in Peace . Bonnie and Cltde Deserve to Rest in Peace like Anyone Else Does . Judgement day is Coming where we All Have The Same JUDGE
