You can't take literally everything Lennon said. He meant it was torture perfecting the songs (not meaning torture working together). It' obvious listing to Let it Be (which was unfinished) perfecting them made them the great studio band they were. But Lennon had enough of that.

I was cringing the entire video. A historical piece as important as this one should be handled with an anti static wrist strap, gloves and care. This guy unnecessarily puts it back in the bag and removes it again. Manhandles virtually every available surface, then talks loudly over it with possible spittle landing on the board. Who knows if his hands were washed properly beforehand. It sold for $700,000, but good lord what incompetence on full display. 😂
