In the mid-1950s, there began a new era in which African Americans began to migrate to Ghana as a result of its independence. African Americans, especially civil rights activists such as W. E. B. Du Bois and Julian Bond, went to Ghana to aid the country's development and escape the racism of the United States.
Most people in America who are moving to Ghana have mentioned moving to Ghana and other parts of Africa for safety and racial equality. I have shared the stories of several people in the diaspora (especially America) relocating to Ghana, mostly couples. I have not shared the story of too many single women.
In this video, I share the story of Dellasie who moved from New York in America to Ghana right before the year of return. She has started a business in Ghana, and is also running an NGO to support young people in Ghana. She lives in a stunning home within Accra Ghana, we get to tour parts of her home as well as get to know her in this video.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.

Congrats to her. Theres so many talented Ghanaians and I know so many people who prefer to work with their own people than depend on Asians to create or manufacturer products for their business whether its art or clothing or whatever. Glad there are more resources available now for them to do that.

As a Ghanaian educated in Germany and the USA, I really love how the west trains people to express themselves with so much confidence. She is great at that. Eii you girls can run your mouths oo!! Thats is the biggest limitation of the African child - timidity, modesty and bottled eloquence.

Are there expats in Ghana who are not from African ancestry as digital nomads or retirees? What kind of visas are available in Ghana such as in Mexico or Panama? I would love to visit Ghana, but I hear it is ""too" hot and humid. Is that true, especially in Accra?
