If I could tell you only one thing to help your painting be the best possible, it would be this, to Work from Life whenever possible.
What you will learn in Daniel's new series "Through the Eyes of an Artist":
    1. When you discover Dan's techniques in seeing, You will learn exactly how to view your subject and understand what information is critical to obtain to create a strong, confident painting.
    2. Daniel will share how to set boundaries to read Values , Edges, and Color in a relationally accurate way, allowing you will paint with more confidence.
    3. Dan will teach how the “Masters” solved matters of Edges, Values, and Color in their paintings and share how you can implement their techniques.
“Having your lessons broken down into segments and keeping the focus on the key elements has helped me greatly. The quality of your video’s are outstanding, very professional and easy to follow and for me...nothing is lost and I can watch them as many times I need to.
Dan you are a remarkable teacher and have a very practical way to demonstrate what you see and how you paint what you see. I enjoy your enthusiasm about your subject and how beautifully you communicate that beauty on canvas.” Tassia V.
    Thank you!

You're my favorite artist. I have a bunch of your work saved that I use as screen art. I thought you where a classic artist long gone. I just found you today. I am an amateur oil painter and find your work inspiring. Thanks for adding beauty to the world.

The Master at it again! I have two of your DVDs. If you can ever find it in your heart. A DVD on a painting portraits of people of color. I feel that it can be "trickier." Especially trying to keep portrait looking realistic.SALUTE! GOD BLESS! ( RET. VET.)

Another take away for me is how loosely described you kept significant passages. Resisting the temptation to rework areas. The idea of spending the time on the palette not on the canvas.

Juxtaposing temperature changes to define plane changes without focusing solely on value was a good idea. 5:41 in the video
