Would you say these worked well for lighting a space on their own or are they more so a light themed decoration? Curious if I could get away with using this over my desk instead of a lamp.
You can probably get away with using it to light up your desk if it's a small space, but they are definitely meant to be used more as a decorative light.
I was actually thinking of buying these but the RGB ones just have a different vibe to it.
I love me some RGB! But these are a great option if you're designing a room without colourful lighting needed and still want some sparkle!

The controller dies after a year ! waiting on a replacement from Nanoleaf, great while it lasts.
I believe it was only a specific batch of controllers that were affected in a recall. Nanoleaf has a page to get it replaced for free if your controller qualifies. Mine was also one of these controllers that died after sometime, easily replaced through the website! Hope this helps.
Thanks for that @@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE ; I did go thru that process (yes my serial number matched) but have heard nothing from Nanoleaf despite a support follow up. Hopefully I will get a reply and a controller before Xmas ! Being in Australia probably doesn't help, not sure where their support centre works out of. Nice product while it worked for 11 months.
